I've liked each season, but I hear you on that. I thought maybe you might be bothered by the "Mike Is Revealed As Fraud" that showed up a little last episode.

I thought the first few episodes were kind of out of the show's usual character, but it sure made up for it in the long run...

Nearly had a change of heart when the "Mike's a Fraud" plot reared it's ugly head yet AGAIN, but hopefully that's not going to get the same amount of focus that derailed some of the previous seasons...

Derailed previous seasons? I respectively, but strongly disagree King. The main theme of the show is the super smart photographic memory of Mike and how he fakes his way into being a lawyer at a firm that only hires Harvard Law School graduates. And all this with the help of Harvey, a named partner.

And I can understand how some could get invested in the characters, and want more smooth sailing for them, but there are going to be occasional storms. I bring this up because the scene with Trevor was the single most damaging event to Mike's psyche in the entire series. If that ongoing annoyance of his constant jeopardy bothered you before, you ain't seen nothing yet.

This whole thing would have been easily solved in the real world. Mike could already pass the bar, so he just needs to take it for real when Harvey hires him. The Harvard issue wouldn't matter as it is Harvey and he could get around it. Then Mike would have to work for 4 years, usually, and then he becomes a lawyer.

I remember him putting his records into the Harvard system, but I can't remember him doing the bar. Otherwise that would be a big issue as he couldn't be in court.

Yea I can't understand why they haven't had Mike just go to Harvard and take night classes or like you said have him pass the bar. My theory on that is it's something that they will end the show with. Mike becoming an "official" lawyer and becoming a name partner with Harvey retiring.

Yeah, "derailed" wasn't the best choice of words...

I just thought that the reliance on that plot point was getting a little tedious and was over used at the expense of exploring other storylines for parts of the previous seasons...

I do give the writers credit for finding a much more creative way to revisit the "fraud" plot this time around...

That scene with Trevor was much more engaging than the "Lewis on a witch hunt" thing became...

              All good!

Harvey is too young to retire.

The series wasn't set up to make things convenient for Mike or all those involved in his web of fraud. He couldn't have put the ship back in the bottle the moment he was on record as an attorney with Jessica's firm.

But Harvey is every bit as culpable, if not more so, than Mike. It was his idea after all. They're setting up the summer finale as a chance that both Harvey and Mike will leave the firm.

You can't take the bar exam in NY without a law degree. They'd be waiting a long time for him to finish night classes before he got to that point.

In NY, I think it is a combination of 4 years in school and lawyer apprentice.

You have to complete at least one year of law school, which requires a bachelor's, which he doesn't have either; that was back in season 1 or 2 we knew that.

It was, but will the fraud charge be about something other than Mike being a fake lawyer? I think there's a chance it will be and I'd consider that a cop out.

Remember, this show isn't winding down. At the very least it has this winter's six episodes and another full season of 16.

I know folks like the show so I won't harp on it too much. I'll just say that it was painful.

I'm down for whatever, esp. if they can find a way to get Donna and Harvey's therapist as much "one on one" interaction time as possible...
