Anyway, some quick things on the final episode:

First time that a Ghostface killer was arrested in the movies or the show!

Though I don't understand how absolutely any of it would stick. I don't know of a single thing that was incriminating, and the only two living witnesses are primary suspects for multiple reasons.

Another great season. Really enjoy this show.

Audrey has to be involved. I think she's the mastermind behind all of this.
I keep going back to season 1 when her girlfriend was killed. That was the only death that doesn't make sense in relation to Brandon James and Lakewood.

She has motive too as she was going to break up with her.

One question though, I haven't had a chance to go back to the Episode where all the students were locked-up in the library.
Was Kieran locked-up as well?
And if so, was there a 2nd person imitating Ghostface, or was Emma truly hallucinating when she was attacked while locked-in a room on her own?

Another theory:

Is there a chance that the psych teacher, Mrs. Lang is still involved?
She survived the killer. Why? Why spare her life? Her wounds were fairly superficial.
Is she attempting to paint Emma and Audrey as nutjobs?

And will Emma's dad make a reappearance?
Will we actually see Brandon James at some point?

I hope it's renewed for a Season 3. This series is a guilty pleasure for the wife and I.

Finally watched the finally. Amazing.

The end when Keiren got the phone call gave me chills.

I really hope we get a third season.

I thought it was pretty terrible. Felt like a "spin-off" sort of. Probably helped because it gives me strong hope of a third season, but not exactly one I'll put in the record books heh. Just glad that it's Scream either way, but in the end I was very ho-hum about the experience.

I missed the special. But if you guys didn't hear there will be a season 3. 6 episodes and new show runners.

I thought it was pretty bad too. My wife and I laughed throughout most of it and not for the right reasons.

I thought I had read somewhere that initially this special was supposed to wrap everything up. All questions would be answered and we'd know the true identity of Ghost Face.
But maybe after the series got picked-up for a 6-episode Season 3, they pulled back?
Because this special didn't reveal anything new at all. It was basically a fluff-piece (even by Scream TV standards).

We were still slightly entertained by it, but I don't think any Scream fans would be missing out on anything if they skipped it. There really wasn't anything new revealed.

Looking forward to S3 though. I think everything gets wrapped-up in a bow.

So through a six degrees kind of connection (watching Good Girls, saw Matthew Lillard on screen, was wondering if a Scream 5 would ever be made, found an article online talking about the Scream TV series), apparently they released the third season for this show on VH1 in 2019.

It's available on Netflix, and based on a thumbnail picture it looks like they might have nabbed the Ghostface mask rights. Maybe even got Roger Jackson to do voiceover work? I'm going to be sure to check it out.

Well, I finally watched the third season.

I won't say that it was great, and the real problem was with the characters/actors. It's a new set of people, the previous folks being completely unignored. The story was fine, but a lot of the characters were really annoying (mainly the black characters, and I hate to put it that way but that's how they can be most quickly identified). The things they say, the decisions they make, everything. I'm fine with stereotyping everybody to be a specific kind of person, as the tropes go in the show. I think some of it was cleverly written, though. I'll boast that I was able to get some of the aspects of the ending correct, but not quite everything.

Anyway, yes to original Ghostface mask and yes to Roger Jackson's voice returning. Some of the gore was also pretty legitimate. There is no panache like you'd see from a Wes Craven horror film chase scene, but it wasn't without its moments for sure. Because of some of those returning elements and its meta awareness, I'll say that it earns the Scream name, but again it was with a few pretty lousy characters/actors involved.
