Yeah, one post in two years. I'm a Response factory.

    Anyway-I didn't like it-you thought it was a masterpiece-end of story.

      Re: Mr Robot

The story was good, but I hate when shows do what this did. The ending made it a completely different story than 90% of the show. It's like when starting the show got popular so there wasn't enough material or the he didn't know how to end the show. If the ending was always meant to be, then he wasted a ton of time with all the other fsociety junk.

He could have finished this in 1 or 2 seasons, instead we got a ton of wasted crap that may or may not be real because he creates his own reality.

I haven't finished it, or seen it since season 2, but I remember in season 1 Esmail did an AMA and said he planned for 4 or 5 seasons and had it all planned out back then so I don't think anything has changed.

This is true. Been watching from the beginning, and it is pretty surreal how dialed in the story really is to how it ends. The clues are all there.

Loved in the first episode when Mr. Robot says, “I’m going to free you from that prison, Eliot.” Obviously, it comes off one way at the time, but now we know what he was really getting at. The interactions with Darlene now make so much more sense.

So, yeah, Sam is not lying about this being the story from the beginning. I suspect it’s going to make the second season even more clear. The show operated more like a novel, where each episode is a chapter, and each season is a part.

It’s how the best of the new age of TV works. Some people are so plot driven that they would be better off just reading basic recaps. They don’t want the art, anyway, just the plot points. This show fails that. But if you ha e been watching and following along, and not live Tweeting or surfing the net while “watching,” the story really pays off.

If that's truly the case, another watching would make it better but I'll never do that. I guessed where he was going when the abuse came up, but it just makes season 2-4 midway basically worthless. If you watch season 1 and the last half of season 4 it would basically be the same. There are a few parts in season 2, but most of the rest of it really has no bearing on the story and is just filler.

Eh... there were too many instances where the story just went completely loo loo and you don't know what they're trying to accomplished

I quit after season 2 then binge-watched the rest over this last week

Didn't care for the ending either.... all of that mastermind stuff was like silly

Is this the end of the show or no?

I loved the finale and it made his interactions in season 1 make total sense now.

Without spoilers, is the final season worth watching? I have it all on DVR but haven't had time to watch (my wife never got into this). I barely even remember where we left off it's been so long lol

It's good enough to watch and a short season.

To me, Season 1 and the final season were pure genius. The middle seasons were still a fun watch but nowhere near those two. One of the best final seasons for any show I've ever watched.

With the ending, it definitely makes it a better story just having season 1, a few things from season 2, and then the 2nd half of season 4.

Been marathoning this the last couple of weeks since S4 hit Prime, I originally dropped out at the end of S2 but man...S3 for me was Wire S4 level, one of the best seasons of TV I can remember. Most of my favorite shows are more character based than plot based (haven’t seen Breaking Bad, that’s on deck), so I can’t remember any show that had me as eager to go to the next episode as this season. “Don’t mistake my generosity for generosity.” Just badass. Halfway through 4 now, I don’t know what to expect.

I'll say this. The last reveal/suprise of the series is totally worth it. I personally loved the final season.

Oh, and the episode with Elliot Villar playing Vera again was a BRILLIANT acting showcase. That whole episode was outstanding.
