Re: Microsoft Surface / Surface Pro Discussion Thread
Depends on what kind of game you're looking for. I have Cities:Skylines and XCOM and they both play pretty well. There's some slight framerate issues, but neither game is fast-paced so it's not a big deal to me.Comment

Re: Microsoft Surface / Surface Pro Discussion Thread
Anyone have the surface pro 4? My girlfriend got it about a month ago and has been having a lot of just general buggy issues...pen not being recognized, etc. Would love to hear others' impressions.A Rising Storm in the North | Cheese's Eastern Michigan Dynasty (NCAA '12)

Re: Microsoft Surface / Surface Pro Discussion Thread
I'm going to bump this. I've been thinking of making the jump from a MacBook Pro to a Surface Pro 4. I'll be taking some prerequisite classes for grad school (organic chemistry) and getting a number of certifications at work (CCRN, CRNI, TNCC) so I was thinking of making a purchase to hold me down until I buy a new laptop for actual grad school... I play a lot of OOTP and was hoping to get into more text-based sports management simulators like FOFC so a Windows X-run tablet would work out pretty well.
I'm not sure how reliable these are though. I've had my MacBook Pro for almost 6 years now and aside from having to replace the RAM and the battery being pretty bad now, it's held its own very well and has been a reliable product for me. Would I be able to say the same for the SP4 you think? What do you guys think will be the average life span of these tablets?Comment

Re: Microsoft Surface / Surface Pro Discussion Thread
I've had my SP3 for 2 years now without a single issue. I don't know if it's possible at this point to say what the longevity will be, but I'm happy with mine and don't have any thoughts of upgrading in the near future.Comment

Re: Microsoft Surface / Surface Pro Discussion Thread
I'm a Mac user, have been since ~2010. I love the reliability and the durability of this product, but my MBP's battery is dying, and I'm a big fan of text-based simulators such as OOTP and FOF. And OOTP is the only one so far that has been consistently putting out a Mac-friendly game.Comment
