I don't buy CDs anymore, but I maintain an ever increasing vinyl collection. Most of the new releases will come with a digital download card so I typically just burn them to CDs for the car.

      Last two vinyls I bought were . . .

Metamodern Sounds in Country Music - Sturgill Simpson
      Heavy Sugar - Calhoun

I got a little 45 a couple weeks back called I'm a Volcano by Fishboy.

Gonna get Your Dog, Champ by Brent Best once the vinyl drops. Saw him perform it at the release party Saturday night. He signed a copy of the CD for my girl.

I also really want Beat the Champ by The Mountain Goats.

Great topic. I was joking with a friend on FB that I am my generations version of the old guy that buys cassettes still.

I very much still buy CDs though not the pace I used to. At last count I had over 600+ CDs in my collection, most of which are original albums ( not burnt copies).

It's to the point if my house was on fire and I could only grab one inanimate object(s), those would be it.

For the most part, no, but on occasion I still do.

If it's one of my favorite artists or an up and coming artist that I want to support, I'll buy the album. Other than that, I already pay $10 a month for Spotify and have my ways of getting anything I can't get from there, so I'm pretty set for the most part.

The last few albums I've actually purchased (off the top of my head) have been:

The Weeknd - Beauty Behind The Madness
          Miguel - Wildheart
          J. Cole - 2014 Forest Hills Drive
          The Weeknd - Kiss Land
          J. Cole - Born Sinner
          G.O.O.D Music - Cruel Summer
Kendrick Lamar - good kid, m.a.a.d city
          J. Cole - Cole World: The Sideline Story

Anything before that I can't remember.

I'm also experiencing the "luxury" of having a car without an aux port so there might be the odd time I grab a CD for something to listen to, but usually I just throw a playlist together and burn it like I'm back living in 2003 again.

I do if it's one I have been anticipating for months. I only have two bands that qualify for that though so I buy all of their CDs or on vinyl for the novelty of it. Kind of useless though since I don't have a CD player in my truck and I will just end up listening to it on Spotify, but I still want to give the band my money so I order direct from them.
