A lot of people thought they were way comfortable and forgot to play the game and split votes. Isn't that a no brainer? And these are second timers? Pitiful.

Re: Survivor: Cambodia(Second Chance)
The one interesting thing that'd come out of this, is where they'd hide the next idol
Surprised nobody really looked for one after the merge, or maybe no clues were around(since idol is only hidden in challenges, and they didn't want 3 out there), so they assumed no idols.
But if there is an idol at a challenge, with it being individual immunity especially, will make things real fun if someone goes for the idol during that challenge. It's one thing to sneak around and get one during a tribal challenge, cause everyone is busy competing. But individual immunity, where you might have eliminated people sitting out and watching what you do....Or better yet, a challenge where everyone is facing each other,so if you want the idol, you have to get it,directly infront of the rest of your tribe.Comment

One thing I've always wondered, when the numbers are stacked against someone and they stay alive with an idol, why don't the numbers just vote against them again the next week?Wolverines Wings Same Old Lions Tigers Pistons Erika ChristensenComment

Re: Survivor: Cambodia(Second Chance)
I'd assume in all likelihood, they wouldn't vote for the idol user again because everyone else would assume that it would be easy to get the user out. Considering that it's very unlikely someone would find 2 idols, it'd be easy to vote them out later in the game."It's not about how hard you can hit, it's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward"Comment

Re: Survivor: Cambodia(Second Chance)
Not to mention, it's 3 days at least inbetween tribals. Alot can happen in 3 days. And the person who was on the bottom, now knows for sure they're on the bottom, and will start playing the game alot and trying to make deals and change the game.Comment

Re: Survivor: Cambodia(Second Chance)
Jeremy is now most powerful player in the game. I don't think anyone has ever held 2 idols at once and played both for themselves during the game. Only 2 times I can remember where someone had 2 idols at once, they either got voted out with both, gave both away during tribal, or only had to use 1 during the entire game.
Weird to see Kelly voted out. Never being voted out before in Survivor, being the original runner up, and now 15 years later, she's voted out. She's still the last person from S1 to have her torch snuffed(since Richard got voted out at an earlier part of his season in all stars)
I don't really think this will be an "evolution" of the game. Especially with next season being taped already, so by time S34 gets filmed,I'm sure people would forget half of this season already.
Preview for next week....
SpoilerLooks like one of those reward/immunity challenges. You get 2 rocks, and choose if you want the reward, or the chance to be in the immunity challenge
And based on my TVGuide, apparently next weeks episode is a 2 hour one? Don't think they even mentioned it on the show this week, but it's 2 hours. So we basically have to be seeing 2 people go home next week. If show does end on the 16th,we'd need to have 5 people voted out in the next 3 weeks.Last edited by Majingir; 11-19-2015, 04:26 PM.Comment

I'd agree with you that Jeremy is the most powerful player in the game, but that's only the case if he doesn't feel too safe with 2 idols. Let's remember that idols are only valuable when they are played.
Like you said, lots of people who had 2 idols went home with both in their pocket. I really hope he plays well for the rest of this...
During the reward challenge I found it hilarious Abi wasn't selected in the schoolyard pick, can't say I'm surprised though."It's not about how hard you can hit, it's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward"Comment

Re: Survivor: Cambodia(Second Chance)
I'm surprised no sort of strategy was made beforehand for the reward. If it was 8 on 3, couldn't the 8 have made a plan like they get all of the 3 to be on one side, let them win, then the remainder of the other alliance which stays back at camp, gets a free day to look for the idol.
Jeremy still found the clue during that moment, but others could've spotted him still.
More people should utilize that chance to go off and look for it. I remember a few seasons back, all but maybe 1 or 2 people got to go on a reward, but the ones back at camp, didn't even bother looking for the idol....Comment

I got a question for y'all. Do you prefer this "block voting" concept? Personally I'm all for the idea of forming small groups, teaming up with other groups and getting other people out weekly.

That's basically what alliances are isn't it? Only difference this year is that it features more smaller alliances. Probably ones made before the season even began. Like I said in my other post, I really don't see this season being a gamechanger for Survivor. By the next season they film, it'll probably go back to being the regular Survivor alliancesComment

Alliance size doesn't matter, what matters is who's in it. Cause over the years, big and small alliances have had their share of success. Some with good players, some with bad. It varies from season to season.Comment

Re: Survivor: Cambodia(Second Chance)
What an episode(or episodes) tonight! This really is one of the best seasons they've had. So much intense competition and strategizing all around. Definitely one of the hardest played games top to bottom in the cast they've ever had. Every time someone gets voted out, it's an impactful player to the game.
That rock stuff. lol, anyone else hoping either everyone chose white,so nobody even had immunity. Or everyone chose white except for 1 person,so they literally get handed immunity.
Jeremy playing that idol when everyone was gonna vote Stephen out! What a cool move at the time. Nobody even suspected he'd have an idol, and he just goes out there and saves the person everyone else wanted gone. Too bad following tribal erased that awesome moment but still.
The 2nd reward challenge was so cool. Fave part is how it happens at night. Just seeing a completely diff setting for a challenge was nice to have. They need to have more challenges not in the middle of the day. A few seasons back they had one in the jungle in the morning,so it was real cool to see the lighting in a jungle at sunrise.
This challenge was ultimate old school Survivor. 1st season they used to have challenges at night, this was one of them. The challenge in S1 with the best moments.***dy not even listening/remembering Jeffs story,so at each station he's just like "I don't know..." and got every answer wrong.
This advantage twist is a fail so far lol. Dan last year used it,and it made no difference when he got voted out. Stephen uses a similar one this year,it made no difference and he got voted out. It'd be powerful advantage if used in F5 or something, but with everyone knowing you got the advantage around final 10,it's hard to stay in game/hold on to that advantage for that long.Comment

Re: Survivor: Cambodia(Second Chance)
Episode 2 ruined how I felt about Ep 1. Jeremy saving Fishbach was awesome, I love that idol play so much, but after the second episode it feels like not only did he waste it, but now he has an extra target on himself. Total bummer because I like Jeremy. I'm surprised they didn't just knock Joe out when they finally had the chanceWolverines Wings Same Old Lions Tigers Pistons Erika ChristensenComment
