Re: The Blacklist Season 3
Not really interested in the spinoff as Spader is the main reason I enjoy Blacklist. The idea of a show centering around Tom, Solomon and whoever else does nothing for me. However, I'm guessing there will be several crossover episodes to pull viewers in.Comment

I'm down for the spinoff. If a show has a concept that I like, then I go in with an open mind that it can be great. It's all about the writing.Jordan Mychal Lemos

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.
Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.Comment

Re: The Blacklist Season 3
The "fake death" thing is officially a cliché but might not apply here. It's very possible that Megan Boone, who decided to start a family on the heels of a career break that one can only dream of, doubled down on simply wanting to raise her baby for a couple of years. There is no way the show voluntarily killed her off.
The only way she is alive is a coordinated effort with her doctor friend. They fake her distress and the doctor slips her some kind of drug that makes her appear dead. That would be a pretty elaborate and unbelievable contingency plan considering the circumstances.
Spader's comments to Entertainment Weekly about this episode:
“I think it’s most prudent not only as just myself and what I know or don’t know for that, but also in terms of the character of Reddington: Elizabeth Keen is dead.”
More then that, I'm not sure the show can survive without her.Comment

The story of Red and Liz is not dead, and I don't think Liz is either. Mr. Kaplan played an integral part of that episode last night. She ripped Red a new one, but also was emotional with the birth of the baby girl. One has to wonder if Mr. Kaplan happens to be Liz's mother?
It was a emotional episode all the way around. Kudos to all the actors/actresses.
This episode makes for great water cooler conversations and social media blow-ups.Last edited by roadman; 04-15-2016, 07:53 AM.Comment

Re: The Blacklist Season 3
If Megan Boone and NBC continue to not confirm Elizabeth Keen's death then the show is practically setting the table for her return sometime in season 4. If she's actually dead why wouldn't they just say it? Fans wouldn't take that type of jerking them around very well.
I still don't see how an ACTUAL mother and baby life threatening injury could set up this possible ruse.

Re: The Blacklist Season 3
Great episode. I highly doubt she is dead. I'm going to go with either Tom and the doctor friend or Mr Kaplan gave her something to "die". Red saying not to take her to the morgue makes me think it even more, although I have a feeling he doesn't know about the plan. Megan Boone clearly wants some time off and this is a way to advance the plot with her gone. There's way too much left that hasn't been told between Red and Liz imo.Cincinnati Reds University of Kentucky Cincinnati Bengals

Re: The Blacklist Season 3
Yes and no.
They had the funeral towards the end of the show. Her friend that she worked with was sitting outside of a cafe with her(you didn't know it was her because her back was to the camera and one could guess it was her) and the friend gave her a manila sealed envelope and that was the last part of that season.
The actress didn't come back until about mid-season or so and everyone was shocked, including her partner, who incidently just left this season.
I heard Padget Brewster was having difficulties with head brass of Criminal Minds of resigning, that was the word on the street.
I looked at Megan's Boone's Twitter and she was marketing and discussing last weeks episode and all of a sudden, she's been radio silence since. No reporting of last night's episode or marketing of it.Comment
