Can we please specify when a spoiler is specific to the comics?

If I'm behind (which I was until tonight) I stay out of this thread to avoid anything and it frustrating to come in and see things that I assumed were spoilered for the the show to see something like this which is eluding to how the comics played out.

I understand it's not following along to this point but most point out when it's a comics spoiler and I would rather not see this whether or not it's been accurate.

Great shows don't need to pull the cliffhanger crap for ratings spike.

Game of Thrones was great about that until last season. Fans would have came back with us knowing the victim and they still would have been talked about like crazy, instead it's just a middle finger to to the comic readers.

So for me, instead of being hyped for next season, this really turned me off. Maybe because I read the comics and was expecting more. Maybe if didn't read them I would be fine with the cliffhanger.

I don't need to know who it was to come back, it was dumb.

Based on the comics spoiler earlier I have a pretty good idea who it was anyway because to me it was down to one of two.

Just show us who and move on, now, any preview will have to include all current cast members. Just seems like a waste.

Killing off one person is normal for shows and it doesn't need to be delayed.

Interesting you mention GOT. The shows have the clear similarity of having a huge amount of characters. There are two key differences in this respect that make GOT superior-

1. GOT balances its characters much better. Many many times on TWD characters just randomly disappear for several episodes and then just pop up again. Worse, key reactions of characters to events are often missed due to the characters being mia (ex: Tara's reaction to Denise)

2. GOT has much greater balls. This is key as it makes every episode nerve wrecking and unpredictable. They will kill off A characters routinely and without remorse. TWD will do this at best with reluctance, more likely will give large lead ups to b or c character deaths (ie: Andrea), and at worse I don't want to even mention the bs with Glen from earlier.

As far as I'm concerned, if a b list character ends up being the Lucille pov victim, and not one of the key season 1 or 2 people, this will just further confirm my second point for me.

If we wait all season and it ends up being a B list character and not one from S1 or S2, I seriously might be done with the show.

I loved the episode, Morgan using the gun to save Carol, Rick looking like he was trying to pull a Carol(cant remember the last time Rick looked so scared/shocked). Negan was awesome, and we got to see how Trevor would be in a walker universe, GTA5 DLC pending. Dont like the cliff-hanger, but I think the episode wilk be great enough and worth the wait.

I was thinking that about Rick the whole time. I don't know if it's a ploy, if he's scared ****less, or it's just the realization that he completely ****ed his group.

Rick went from confident *** with his first convo with the Saviors. And after every roadblock, he slowly became more and more rattled. By the end, he'd lost all confidence. That was well done by the show.

Ugh, just hate these wait 6 months to find out something crap shows pull on us. I find it hilarious how many people are like "it's a cliffhanger...a lot of shows do this"

It's the Internet. They could have shown who was killed, and it could have been any of the people, and a lot of people would be flipping out. There's like 1000 things they could end the show with, a lot of people are going to hate whatever they ended up with.
