Re: The Walking Dead (Season 6)

This was my favorite season. I kept waiting for Negan to appear. I didn't know he'd only show up for the final 15 or so minutes.

I was sorry to see Deanna go, but the writing was on the fallen walls.

Insignificant personal trivia: I was born in Bethesda Naval Hospital, Maryland and lived in Alexandria, Virginia from age 2 days to age 6 months. I just learned the "base" was right outside of the city.

I can't find what I was reading but didn't the showrunners say that this "mystery death" will be particularly brutal, even "pushing boundaries"? I don't see it being a woman either. This isn't an arrow through the back of the head poking through an eye.

I'm pretty sure "brutal" and "boundary pushing" is oversell for "first person camera beating."

It's much easier to depict that in picture form than it is to show a realistic brain-bashing of a live human without a lot of special effects.

I have a feeling the result will not be described as a "first person camera beating".

              We will see.

I hope it's wrong but the clues that he points out are pretty good.

Finally got caught up on the show. The guy who played Negan was incredible. That scene was so intense. I really enjoyed this season a lot. Now I can jump back into FTWD.

I thouht on the Talking Dead episode right after the last show Gimple said that they have not even decided who it is going to be yet. That they still had to write the first episode and that the cast has no inkling of who is staying and who is going. I think they wanted to gauge social media and public opinion...that's what I think he said anyway. The interview with Lauren Conrad implied the same thing when she said the cast is just waiting to come back to see what happens.

Wow that makes complete sense. I don't know if I trust the show to stick to those clues though. Could have just been coincidence and this guy is grasping at something that's not there.

If I'm Negan I take out Rick with the bat, no doubt about it. Put down the leader and you lessen the chance for a rebellion. The other people panic and don't know what to do. It's simple logic to me. Why neither the show nor the comic went that route (besides the whole "Rick is the main character" thing) is beyond me. He's the the obvious choice for Lucille. That's the difference between this show and GoT.

Speaking of which, this is the Red Wedding redone in the same vein TWD's season finale.

For anyone who doesn't watch Game of Thrones, DO NOT watch unless you have no interest in ever watching the series:

Maybe Negan thinks Rick gives them the best chance to be more productive.

I don't buy any theories or clues. It was shot in a way to avoid any clues because there aren't any.

I believe the same as you. They have no idea who it is yet.
