How do you guys feel about Glenn/Maggie's baby?

There's only room for one baby in TWD in my opinion, and that's Judith. Something is gonna happen.

I think he means that there is only room for one baby because supplies for babies are limited enough for 1, and taking care of 2 would be close to impossible.

I meant just within the concept of a TV show, there's only so much room for so many categories of characters. You have your leader, his right hand men, your doctor, etc. The baby category is already full. Just leads me to believe something is going to happen.

Is Judith in the comics? And what fate does she suffer if so?

Then again, it could be the passing of the torch if Glenn or Maggie (post-birth) bites the dust.

Judith is barely in the show. I think they can manage another one fine, especially if this new doctor survives for a while.

Seems like it sets up Glenn to go out since his legacy will be carried on. Also Glenn has had his camera time cut quite drastically lately.

is that it'll be Glenn and Abraham biting the dust before the end of the season. With Glenn they've teased it but the third time it'll be real. I think it's more honorable that he goes the way the source material says he goes and this will be it IMO. I don't think they'll diverge from it for him.

This is what I've been saying all along. I mean sure there can be another baby, but having two babies (well I suppose Judith could be a toddler by the time Maggie's baby is born) would be redundant.

The audience has already been through having a baby lose it's parent with Lori/Judith so having it happen again, but this time losing the dad seems a little too similar. Plus, the whole "hold the baby's mouth so a walker doesn't hear it crying" or "we have to go out and find baby food", etc. has been done. Do we really need to go through it again?

Glenn is still at the top of my TWD dead pool, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was Maggie. Abraham and Sasha are both up there too since they've been getting a little more screen time.

On another note, I wonder if there's going to be a Carol/Morgan centric episode soon since those two haven't really seen any screen time since the break?

I get what you're saying and from a traditional television POV, you're right, one of those babies is a goner.

BUT, the show does need to consider the population with Rick's group doing a damn good job killing everyone, so it might make sense to start seeing some babies.

I mean, sure it's the same story all over again with the baby but how many times are we going to have the group meet a good set of people, find something disturbing, kill everyone and move on?

Yeah and contrary to my own feelings about it, the show does need to start thinking/showing life after this zombie apocalypse. Starting up a daycare of babies symbolizes that and sets up the show long term or a time jump forward down the line.

I just think the story elements to having babies is beat. But like you said, they follow a similar storyline every season. Find out about group >> confrontation >> zombie horde >> repeat.

every since they said Maggy was pregnant I also thought they would eventually kill her off cause couldn't see them having 2 babies, always felt like her baby would die while shes carrying it and eat it's way out killing her. I know it's crazy and they probably wouldn't show anything like that but has always been my thought
