Looks like he's going to be in the next Tarantino movie... although, of course, we get SLJ... this century's Burgess Meredith

        Re: Kurt Russell

My favorite Kurt Russell films where he played the lead:

        1. The Thing (1982)
        2. Tombstone (1993)
        3. Big Trouble in Little China (1986)
        4. Silkwood (1983)
        5. Escape from New York (1981)

He was also great in the criminally underrated comedy, Used Cars (1980) which was his very first lead role in his post-Disney career. That was also the last movie Robert Zemeckis and Bob Gale worked on before doing Back to the Future (1985).

Hell, I even liked Escape from L.A. (1996) even though it was critically panned pretty bad.

He was in some pretty lousy flicks too, though. But overall, I dig him.

Captain Ron too. Not held in the highest regard, but I remember it being entertaining.

I think Kurt is a great actor. One movie I didn't see mentioned at all was Tango and Cash. I thought that was a great movie. Tombstone is up there as well, although I think Kevin Costner was a better Wyatt Earp, but Kilmer was no doubt the best Doc Holiday ever.

Hoping he has a bigger role in Fast and Furious 8. Enjoyed his character in 7 in his limited times. Hilarious scenes with Vin Diesel.

Tombstone and Back Draft are two of my favorite movies.

I can't wait to see Russell in The Hateful Eight.

Same thing on Tombstone and I saw Backdraft for the first time not too long ago. That was a great movie. Feels like he's stayed under the radar for much of his career, probably because of the downers that pop up like 3000 Miles to Graceland, but his good movies are pretty darn good.
