Honestly if you have the time you should. It just gives you a lot of history and back story stuff to make it all same more in depth. The show has done a great job overall but you can never beat the information you can get from the books.

Agreed, and I am so hyped. I do also hope we see the Rhaegal & Viserion twins, and what happened with Drogon, but I feel they may leave that for around the finale. Then again, they have been moving things along at a rapid pace, which is a nice change, since

Yeah, letter was great, easy way to rally the wildlings too, then probably add the knights of the vale to the army along with other northern factions like the one that wouldn't kneel.

The speed of this season so far has been great. That's part of why I got so hyped because I thought for sure either Jon would leave before Sansa arrived giving us another just miss or it would take till episode 7 or something. Really like how things are moving right now.

There's about a 0% chance we don't get a war for the North this season. I agree that this season has been much better compared to the pace of the last one or two.

My only complaint is that we need more Bronn. He was easily one of my favorite characters in the first few seasons especially when he was with Tyrion in King's Landing.

Agreed. It may end on the staging of it, and start off Season 7 battle charged.

I'm curious what Smalljon Umber's play is. The Umber's were fiercely loyal to the Starks. They refused to bend the knee to Roose Bolton (technically, Smalljon still hasn't bent the knee to Ramsay).

I just can't accept the Umbers have abandoned the Starks. As you said they were fiercely loyal and even more so in the books. I'm hoping that they aren't with Ramsey now. But it always seems as though Ramsey knows what's happening before it happens as far as someone trying to play him. We'll see I guess.

Also by bring Rickon, if they are still with the Starks, that was a huge gamble. Look what already happened to Osha.

I feel like Sansa wrote the letter from "Ramsay".

She knew it would rally Jon Snow & the wildlings to retake Winterfell. It seemed like she knew that the letter was about to get a lot worse when Jon stopped reading and made sure to read it aloud.

How does she know they have Rickon though? Unless, the Umber's have some sort of plan against Ramsey and she's in cahoots with them.... which seems like a stretch.

Considering Osha just got wrecked by Ramsey, I don't see how the Umbers are Trojan horsing this thing.

I think this is just a sad tale of the new generation of northern houses caring about themselves over honor. Because they've all experienced what happened when you are too into honor and tradition. Cough Eddard getting executed, Robb being demolished under protection Cough. The young bucks realized they need to be worried about themselves.

Young Bolton Karstark Umbers aren't interested in your honor nonsense.
