I think Hodor had a traumatic experience as a kid (obviously, we saw that) and adult Hodor was consciously living with this pain and knowledge. He literally couldn't get the orders out of his mouth. Maybe to remind himself? Maybe because of the traumatic experience? I don't know.

But it could also explain his allegiance to Bran. He likely always knew what he was to do.

Funny you mentioned Lost, since the director of this episode was also one of the main directors of Lost. Did you know that? Or are you really wizard?

So what is Bran's ability? Has all of his meddling already happened? Or can he change more? I'm lost.

              Crazy.

'Game of Thrones' fan guessed meaning of Hodor's name in 2008

You might still see Hodor yet again.

                We didn't see him fall.

Not sure if it'll be the Hodor we know however.

I definitely think Hodor is coming back with Blue eyes, as well as Summer. Sucks man.

Haha. I had no idea who directed this episode but it did have a Lost feel to me. Perhaps that explains it.

Loved loved this episode but right now all I can think of is: WHY DO THEY HATE THE DIREWOLVES SO MUCH?!?!?!? I can't take this **** man. Then you gotta throw in Hodor too?! Heartless bastards. The Starks started to get all these good feelings the past 3 episodes so they gotta be knocked down a few like seasons past.

Everyone can blame freaking Brann, but it's not like he had the best teacher. Dude should have told him about the no getting touched thing from the jump!

I wish we would have gotten a little more backstory about the Children of the Forest and the Man in the Tree (I still don't know why he was in the tree for?). Also, it was cool to see how Whitewalkers came about, although I would have like to see more on that, as well? I mean, did they just pick out that guy at random? Nonetheless, this was was great freaking episode and I loved every minute of it.

Lastly, dat play tho! They really nailed Ned!
I have a theory on that, im pretty sure that the 3 eyed raven knew that it had to happem eventually, that he would die and thats why he told Bran to listen to his friend with Hodor. Without this happening then Bran would of never made it there to learn about the three eyed raven and all the previous events wpuldnt of happened.

I also got a Theory on the Mad King. The story Jamie tells us in one of the previous seasons is that before he stabbed them in the back he was yelling, "Burn them all, burn them all!" What if he wasnt meaning the rebellion but somehow was contacted by Bran through a vision of the white walkers or speech to try to warn him about the White Walkers but turned the Mad King mad by accident? We already seen the power of Bran and what he can alter.

This is what Bran's revelation pushes. I love this theory and will now believe it till it's proven otherwise.

Like Jack said, We have to go back! And consider all of Nan's stories.
