Think Margaery is just being Margaery, she did what she had to to get out of the hole and back into a place of influence. Wouldn't be surprised if she's rarely alone w/ him though and conflicts with his new guard. Now that she's gained some ground she'll probably be involved in trying to get the place of religion within the monarchy diminished again.

Thing things will refocus on Cersei's trial soon though.

Seems odd to me that she went from "WE MUST NOT LET THEM BREAK US" to all board the faith train. Would it be crazy if this somehow brought Cersei and Marg together due to their mutual experiences at the ends of the septon?

Oh yeah it was a huge 180, for sure. She was in a position of losing it all though or going along and potentially becoming the most powerful woman in town again. It did feel a little jarring to go from where we last saw her to all cleaned up and ready to see Tommen, no longer in her cell, etc. Felt like I missed something at first.

We got Benjen and Edmure back in the same episode, plus appearances from the Blackfish and Beric sound like they're right around the corner.



Now we just need Gendry and the Hound to make their returns so we will have all of our old friends back.

Another random thought. How many rah-rah speeches can Dany make. I know that D&D can't do much given the source material, but until she actually lands in Westeros her story is this giants 360. I mean we are back at season 1 with her. Walk out of a pyre with a Dothraki hoard at her back and dragon(s) making proclamations about what she is gonna do.....yawn.

PREACH!!! It's the only storyline at this point that makes me roll my eyes every week. Used to root for Khaleesi, now I find her nauseating.

They needed another reason to have her naked, without a body double, and in a power position, not submissive from a Dothraki.

I think now they can safely move on and advance it... I hope.

This is when Ned Stark walked into the throne room to discover the deed. And as most would agree....should've probably taken the throne for himself.

EDIT: And I'm excited for next week. The Blackfish is back and as salty as ever. Plus mentions of the Brotherhood. Maybe, just maybe, we get LS this season. (I'm not holding my breath).

So the rumor today is that next season will only be 7 episodes. Supposedly there are only 13 episodes total after this season.

Yeah. I've seen that reported before, final two seasons only 7-8 episodes, if that.

We're likely down to the last ~20 hours of this series.
