9 out of every 10 posts lately are how bad this show has become. I just don't see it, this is still by far the greatest TV Series ever IMO.
People are talking about how bad last nights episode on here, hell they are comparing it to the Jersey Shore's writing. I just don't see it, its still great. Heck I have seen multiple websites claiming last nights episode as one of the greatest episode's of any series of all time, and I would completely agree with that! I guess if there is not constant fighting and boobs some people lose interest.
Sorry just had to get this off my chest, I just don't understand all the negativity towards this who now.
End of rant and I am sure now I will get killed in the next few comments.

The forum has gone to crap because not everyone is praising something? Everyone has to agree for a forum to be great? Those people at least stated what they didn't think was good about it. What from this past episode did you find to be so great?

There was only one scene that I thought was done well, and that was Jaime's exchange with Edmure. Well, scratch that, two scenes as I liked the confrontation with Cersei and the Faith Militant. The rest, meh.

Could you link a couple of those websites claiming this was one of the greatest episodes of any series ever? I'd just like to see what they saw from it that is deserving of that kind of praise.

I just don't understand all the negativity towards this who now.
I think the reasons have been given, not much to process. I could go into detail if you like but it would be a long *** post.
    PS: You guys are great.

This happens in every show thread on here. Someone who thinks the show is flawless reads a handful of critical posts then they make blanket statements as if the forum is a cesspool of negativity.

LOST directors coming on the show have NOTHING to do with how the show is written. Dan & Dave (the creators) and their writers handle that way in advance before they even pick directors for the episodes.

As for this episode, I enjoyed it a lot. For one thing, **** Tommen for killing "What is hype may never die" aka

The Unsullied don't have balls and they have more balls than Tommen. Although, Tomen's ruling is quite logical in our more civilised society. Trial by Combat is an easy cop-out for high lords to get away from deserved justice, but we hate the Sparrows so **** that ruling. What is intriguing is what Qyburn was telling Cersei about "his little birds finding that thing out... and it's MORE." Was this revealed in a previous episode -- the thing she's asking about -- and I just missed this detail? We all know (speculation)

I can't get a read on Jaime as a character right now. His speech to Edmure was very villainous and moves him even further away from his seeming redemption arc and back into Cersei and his ****ty personality when he's around her. He clearly has (some) honour in him, but at this point, I'd say he's 60-40 going towards a tragic fate with Cersei. Great acting in Riverrun all throughout. Can't quite believe they're killing the Blackfish off-screen though, even if he did say he hasn't fought in a long time and would probably just embarrass himself.

Loved the Hound's scenes; always hilarious. The way they kept bringing Catelyn up, the hangings, then that somewhat eerie focus on the lake (book)

Who's Varys gonna look for? He said they needed friends in Westeros; could he be headed to Dorne, somehow? I mention Dorne (books?)

ARYA! Loved the callback to book 1, because I don't think they even mentioned this in the show. In her chapters in book 1, she kept recalling what Syria Forell taught her while stumbling thru complete darkness underneath King's Landing -- that a Water Dancer can see without eyes. She did this when she was literally blind during her Rocky montage moment and now, she does it again by intentionally luring the Waif to her lair and fighting in the dark. Considering the way Jaqen smirked at the end, perhaps her training really wasn't about Arya becoming no one. Perhaps it was about Arya learning to accept who she really is despite all her attempts to run away from her identity. Like Jon Snow told Robb way back when, "You Starks are hard to kill." Killing the Stark in her was impossible for Arya -- now she's coming home.

Dude let it go, I am over it.
I have already said I now understand.
This is my 4th and last post in this thread.
Again I was just interested in why so many people have not liked the last few episodes.
Plenty of people have told me why.

I think that's what she sent Qyburn and his little birds to find out and it seems he's found some sort of secret stash or maybe something even more crazy.

There was a scene from one of Bran's visions where he saw hundreds of jars of it being put on shelves in tunnels and a wildfire explosion in a tunnel that as far as we know has not happened yet. Combine that with another image from his vision of the throne room destroyed with a 7 pointed star above the throne and it seems to point to that being in the future.

Season 2 wildfire was Cersei commissioning pyromancers to make wildfire for her -- what they made is what Tyrion used in the Battle of Blackwater. The Mad King had MUCH, MUCH more made during his reign and hid it all over King's Landing in the event that they revolt against him, in which case, he'll just burn all of them to the ground, while also hoping he'd be reborn as a dragon afterward.

I was confused on this part as well. I must have missed something also.

I asked the question on another board and this is the replies I got.

The rumor is that they found out about the stocks of Wild Fire the Mad King had setup all under KL.
My confusion is that I thought Tyrion had said that he used it all to trap and destroy Stannis' fleet.
                    That's 2 different things.

When King's Landing was preparing for Stannis invasion, Cercei commissioned the preparation of tons of Wildfire concoctions. The scene where you see a tunnel with those, were just the effort of the royal alchemists in the last weeks/months.

It was enough to blow the fleet, and that's it.

But what the Mad King allegedly did, was fill up the foundations with so much Wildfire to burn the whole city/castle multiple times. We don't know why. But the quantity, and hence its destructive power, is a whole different order of magnitude.

IDK why but I don't think it's wildfire. I almost feel like she had him dig up dirt on the high sparrow and his time before his Kings Landing arrival.

Yeah, I tend to agree, the little birds would be able to hear whispers and get dirt on people, but I doubt they'd be able to get information on wildfire that nobody really knows about or wouldn't be discussing in general conversations.

Should be a big wildfire mayhem ending with Cersei, Tommen, Jaime all going down in flames or something.

                          That would be crazy.

And let's throw in the High Sparrow and his senior female too. Can't stand either of them.

I agree with you but on the other hand the sparrow would weasel his way out if it somehow. Don't know what can be big enough to ruin his standing.

C'mon you don't want to see Arya or Tyrion kill Cersi? Anything less and color me disappointed. But based on book happenings I can see a Tyrion vs Jamie confrontation.
