So a question as I am now rewatching season 6. In Westeros aren't bastards the off-spring of high born and low born sexual affairs? If we believe the R+L=J theory, then isn't that an affair between high born and high born making their off-spring highborn as well?

That's is exactly the definition. If the theory is correct he'd have more right to the throne then Dany.

Would it be more though? She is of the same line of succession as Rhaegar being his sister. While he would be her nephew and Rhaegar never ascended to the throne.

Wait wouldnt they technically be brother and sister? Wouldnt thier parents be the same if the theory is true? If so isnt it the male heir thats gets priority?

While Rhaegar never officially ascended he was still the hier. Now I could be wrong but that would put the first born male child of him as the 3rd in line, surpassing any siblings of Rhaegar. So he should be ahead of Dany as far as claims go.

No Rhaegar and Dany are brother and sister. R+L=J refers to Rhaegars son. Danys nephew.

No. Dany is Rhaegar's sister while J would be his son.

A bastard is a child born out of wedlock. It doesn't matter if it's Highborn+Lowborn, Highborn+Highborn or whatever. Unless R married L, J is a bastard and being a bastard born of two highborn doesn't give him any more right to the throne than Dany. In the case of him being involved in succession, he'd have to be legitimized, which brings up another issue. Only a king (or queen) can legitimize a bastard. Any king or queen that legitimizes J as a Targaryen would instantly put their own right to sit the throne in question, as he would now be recognized as a true son of R. This goes for Dany as well since sons come before daughters in succession.

Think I'm done with these threads until the season is over, too many spoilers out and about. Trying to stay surprised and don't want spoilers masquerading as theories ruining anything.

Anyone know how to link these so they show as a ready watchable video right in tapatalk?

Certain guys embed youtube videos and the show up on my tapatalk ready to watch right in the thread, they switch to full screen right on my phone when I click them. The links as quoted I need to go to 'open in browser' to watch.

Mildly off topic here but has anybody played the Game of Thrones Mod for Crusader Kings II on the PC? Been playing the last couple of weeks and man is it fun. It's kind of a harsh learning curve but anyone who enjoys strategy games and the lore of A Song of Ice and Fire would, I think, love this. Just thought I'd throw it out there.
