Lol, they had a special on HBOGo about the filming. The final scene with Jon/Ramsey was shot for 10 hours.....

Take one of those "Days of our Tyrion" scenes and save that cost for a Direwolf.

Had ghost been in that fight he would've been killed. Hell the only horses that made it out alive were the ones from the Vale and the three that were with Ramsey and his Captians.

Ghost will be needed "in the wars to come".

But he came with Jon away from the wall correct? Ghost would not of left Snow like that.

The episode was great, not saying it wasnt but the show has handled Direwolves poorly.

You really wanted them to kill off ghost huh? That's what would've happened.

The CGI dog at the end was really janky and unnecessary.

              Game of Thrones: Season 6

              Rematched the episode.

Shireen's burning at the stake for the lord of light paid off. Not so much for stannis but eventually he came through.

Also, Sansa is playing the game. The Vale didn't come in last second to save the day. They attacked when Jon's army was reduced to nothing. So if say The Vale decided to occupy Winterfell for a bit, The Stark's can't do a thing about it. And to that point, Sansa didn't appear too thrilled to see that Jon survived. In fact she seems upset when she saw him. Combine that with little finger planting seeds of doubt in her mind about "Her Brother and His Army", I think Sansa is making a play to ice Jon out of Winterfell. Hell she was already done with Rikkon, the actual Lord of Winterfell. Sansa, that girl up to something. I mean she is a Bolton at the end of the day.

Oh and so much for the Karstarks and Umbers being double agents. I told you guys who believed that theory that there was absolutely no way they would give up Rikkon if they were still behind the Starks. Made no sense.

Yeah, I held out for the GNC til the very end. That very end being a few arrows to the chest. I didn't think the Karstarks were in on it, but definitely the Umbers. I thought the Manderlys would be the swerve in place of the Vale army. I guess the North really doesn't remember too well these days. Ah well, there's always the books (I'm still holding out for Frey pie next week tho )!

As for Ghost, yeah I too found myself wondering just where the hell he was. With this show though, you have to fill in your own blanks sometimes so in my headcanon, he was left behind to protect Sansa and Lyanna. Lyanna was playing fetch with him and that's when Sansa ran off alone to meet up with Littlefinger.

Last nights episode was the best one over the past 2 seasons. Bar none.

Fantastic episode. I said to my GF before the battle started, "you watch, it is going to be like Helms Deep, where Gandalf the White comes with an Army to save the day."

The special effects were right up there with any blockbuster movie. And I called it about the dogs as well. As soon as I seen a door slightly open, I was like, "I bet his hounds will be used." Such a fitting end to that pile of ****. A slight win for the Starks.

And boy does Sansa look like the lady she should be. The wardrobe, the attitude. Definite Lady of the North.

That's what I thought when they were all lined up, he should have been dual wielding trees, lol

Was so much payoff in this episode, finally got to see what we all wanted to see dragons do, and ending with the unfurling of banners and dog food in Winterfell.

I expect next week things won't be as cleanly awesome, but alas, the Game of Thrones is a messy one.
