It's beyond obvious that Dany marries Jon. I'm not even sure why it's up for debate.

In the same episode we discover that Jon is Targaryean (we can make the assumption, at least) and he's crowned King of the North, Dany is having a discussion about needing to marry into an alliance in Westeros.

She's taking the South and the North won't support her. The only way they align is through marriage. And once Jon learns of his true ancestry - likely from that snake Littlefinger - he will do what's right and grant Sansa reign of Winterfell.

In the end Littlefinger will have orchestrated everything and get nothing.

This all sounds like fan service to me. Doesn't matter that the targ's married from within. 1, They went mad because of it. 2, the new generation has time and time again pooped on silly traditions like that. You think Jon and Dany care about a pure bloodline? Jon already wrecks that. Alliances and all that are fine but weddings? In this scenario seems pointless. The north will support her when her dragons single handedly save their lives from the ice zombies coming to murder them. And she'll let them keep the north if they swear to her as protector of the realm. Especially since Jon is fam. The north has never given a crap about the south so they'll gladly let her keep it.

Just seems silly to me. Even if it's a platonic situation just for the alliance. But hey, we are in fan fiction territory with the show now, and it has gotten real fan service-y as of late.

I don't think it's gotten servicey at all. We are talking about a couple fans paying attention to minute details and sharing it. It's not the shows fault that there are a few crazy dedicated fans discovering reveals ahead of time.

Everyone else is reading the theories and either supporting it, feeling completely lost, or ignoring them.

Seems to me that you're saying this because once it happens you can share your disappointment in the show.

Well put and I'd say spot on, especially the last part.

I barely can follow the theories people put up but aren't we now of the belief that the reason the Mad King went mad is because Bran probably warged him? If that's the case it didn't have anything to do with them marrying within their bloodline.

As for the traditions part, maybe, but it's still the crux of the universe. Dany wants the throne because she feels its owed to her, people in the North follow the Starks because that's the way it's done. However many traditions may have been ignored, many seem to live on.

Im a casual watcher though lol, no super fan.

She could align with the north by simply telling Drogon "Dracarys", like the first Targaryan's did and Jon would bend the knee.

I like the idea that Jon's dad is Robert Baratheon. He has his looks, hair color and is a great warrior like a true Baratheon. Targaryan's seem to have a high intelligence and I don't see that in Jon.

Plus its nice that Jon and Dany marry and not have to feel akward that its another royal incest jamboree.

I'll give her this: everytime I think she can't possibly be stupider or more shortsighted, she finds a way to prove me wrong.

The Lannisters are screwed. They've lost their most important ally (House Tyrell) and the support of the Church. When Dany lands, all of Westeros will flock to her banners...and all because of Cersei's petty feud with a younger woman.

As Tywin said on a similar occasion back in season one: "Madness. Madness, and stupidity".

And when, during the rebellion, did Robert have time to inseminate Llyana? And if he did, why didn't he take her? And why would he kill the son born of the woman he loves? You can throw that theory completely out of the window.

I think everyone is underestimating Littlefinger. Not that he will end up winning anything, but he definitely is not done playing the game. He's never gonna quit or stop scheming. He is gonna cause some trouble.

I think Jon is smart he is just too nice and naive, which seems to be a stark trait.

Littlefinger is still in the game for sure. He is the defacto Warden of the East still. The problem that he has is that in addition to Sansa knowing exactly what he wants and how far he can and will go to get it, he has enemies within those very same knights of the vale. So ht is not without need to watch his own back. Sansa knows this from her time with him in the Eyrie where she had to lie about her aunts death, so there is still some gamesmanship between them.

If/when Sansa finds out all that Littlefinger has done to manipulate/kill her family its game over for him.
