I'm reading the first book now and its awesome. I didnt play PS4 for about a week because I couldn't put the book down. Like, embarrassed by how much I read. No-life'd it a couple days, as Mikenoob says.

I've been rewatching the show a little bit as well, plan on doing the whole series again before next season.

The only thing that worries me a little bit is Bran's "time warping" deal we saw in "The Door." I feel after that episode we barely saw Bran in general and it hasn't been revisited yet but I just think once you start doing time stuff it has potential to get so messy. Hope it isn't overdone, or maybe it won't become a plot device at all, who knows

I am definitely picking up the books. I have the first one here, but need to dig it out and read it.

Agreed on the time stuff. I hope they do not pursue it too much more. Way too much paradox's and mind numbing **** that a lot of shows do, and ends up being the same brain blender results.

First 3 books are awesome, among the best things I have read. After that, they slip because what was to be the 4th book was split into the 5th book, meaning half of the characters and stories are left out of book 4 completely. It is really jarring.

Figured I'd ask in here since I don't think we have a thread for the books. I just finished ASOS, and since they occur at the same time has anyone tried to read AFFC and ADWD concurrently? I came across a reading order to flip between the 2 books.

I'm considering giving it a whirl since most people complain about Feast focusing on just the South.

I cannot recommend this too highly. Reading AFFC and ADWD as one (really long) book is definitely the way to go.

‘Game of Thrones’ Season 7 Won’t Debut Until Next Summer; HBO Confirms Less Episodes

Game of Thrones Season 7 premiere date has been pushed back from its normal March/April debut to Summer 2017.

But that’s not all! Sorry folks, there’s one more piece of bad news: Game of Thrones Season 7 will consist of just seven episodes, not 10 like past seasons. We knew that this penultimate season might be shorter given that Benioff and Weiss had previously said they only had about 13 episodes of story left to tell and that it’d be spread across two seasons, so this means Game of Thrones Season 8—the final season—will likely only be six episodes long, although I’d be surprised if the series finale wasn’t a supersized two-hour episode.

I am going to have to re-watch at this point, lol. At least TWD is coming 'soon'. And there is Narcos Season 2 September 2nd.

TWD will bring us into Bloodline Season 2 (so hyped) as well.

Winter is here in the summer. I get it though since they have to shoot in the winter months. I appreciate the detail this show takes pride in.
