This series is awesome, glad I never read the book so nothing is spoiled for me. I am on the edge of my seat dying for the next episode. This is better than a lot of things that are on the regular networks. This is what TV networks should be doing, creating series instead of "reality shows". Hopefully creating series (even based off books, etc) is a trend that will continue.

Acting and historic details are fantastic. James Franco, what a catch for Hulu to get, really impressed by his work in this and glad he's involved.

Yeah Im very pleased with this show.... Ive always been intrigued by shows/movies that time travel with the main character from the future knowing upcoming events.

Social commentary with Miss Mimi was handled well and I thought it was necessary to show that aspect of southern life in the early 60's.

They nailed Oswald casting-wise, and what an annoying loudmouthed weasel he is.

I should have seen it coming at the strip club....It's Jack Ruby!!

Slower paced than the previous two episodes, but still very good.

So far, the show is basically "loosely based" on the books, I mean there are a few things that carried over, and the premise is the same, but this is more of a reimagining of the story as opposed to a book turned into a show.

It's a good show though, I'm just a book snob sometimes lol.

If I read the book I'd want the TV show to be loosely based.

Is the book worth reading? on the waiting list for the library's e-book...just wondering. Concept sounds cool, and I'll probably watch the show eventually

Absolutely. It's extremely captivating. A lot more little things than the show. I don't think the show will ruin the book or vice versa.

You would think Jake would know better than to get into complicated relationships in the past. Ask Marty McFly.

Least favorite episode. The hunt for the truth was tedious. Find out whether he shoots at General Walker and move on. The vague tapes and the vaguer eavesdropped conversations hopefully bear more fruit.

The cat house scene was....I'm not sure what it was.

At least the ending will have Jake probably giving an unbelievable explanation for the recording(s).

I am obsessed with both JFK and time travel so its as if Hulu made this expressly to get me to sign up. And it just may work...I'm staying strong though for now...LOL

It's good but not great (IMO). I'm halfway through episode seven. The eighth and last one airs Monday. I might knock it up to a B+ if there's a satisfying ending.

Speaking of time travel Jaybee, I read an article the other day that says one thing movies and shows don't usually take into account is just how different speech is between eras. Someone from a long, long time ago, say 1840, wouldn't be able to understand the English someone from 2016 speaks.

And no i'm not really speaking about slang like "phat" or such, I'm speaking more about accents and pronounciation (sp??)...

Even from now to the the 1963 era it may be a bit revealing when someone speaks to someone from that time era.
