      Re: 24: Legacy- Reboot Coming

I don't even pay attention to what time it is nor do I care that "events happen in real time."

Just feels way too forced, too much put into one season. I have to imagine that at this point only die hard fans of the original 24's are the ones still watching which likely spells doom for this.

They should have kept the name "24" and dropped the real time format and just given us at least 18 episodes. This just dissolved so quickly. I'm not nearly excited for a finale as I should be.

I really feel as if I'm just going through the motions with this show. I'm very easy to please too. But with so much good tv on currently it really makes the blahness of this show stand out. I agree with you guys. 12 episodes just isn't enough to handle all that they have going on. I feel like the last episode is just gonna be a ridiculous mash up of everything. Oh well.

          Agree 100%.

At this point I'm only here so I don't get fined.

It sucks because this truncated format just isn't the way this show was intended to be.

              Re: 24: Legacy- Reboot Coming

I'm an episode or two behind, so I haven't read all of the thread. At this point, I'm still watching, but mainly out of respect for the old 24. I mean, this has been okay, but the writing just isn't up to snuff with the other shows I'm currently watching.

Maybe those shows make this seem worse than it is, but damn how many times can people be abducted my the same group of terrorists? By my count, they've had Carter twice, his wife, brother, Ben, Rebbeca, Jimmy Smits, and Andy all once each. It would be nice if we could go a couple of episodes without the same things happening over and over. Geez Louise.

                What an awful finale.

Take this show out back and put a bullet in its head for goodness' sake.

The only thing I liked about the finale was the silent clock.

Just all so rushed and terrible.

And that was weird too because the way the scene was shot, it didn't even seem for sure that she had died.

It was just a weird finale. Would have been nice to have a cliffhanger, even if there isn't a season two.

I guess the season was ok. Looking back it was very disjointed but whatever. I'd give the season a 5/10.

I do hope we get another, but it's gotta be much better.

I forgot that all of the threats were even thwarted, lol.

I'm hoping for more seasons as well, but I do think it's a bit much if ya'll were expecting "Teri Bauer cliffhanger" status at the end.

Just a lot of wasted opportunities in the middle of the season is all, or at least plots that ran laps for no reason whatsoever.

By the way, when they first said: "The following takes place between 11:00 PM and 12:00 PM," I thought it was a typo for a moment. Silly me forgot they still had to run the clock the full day.

So so ending for me. It wasn't good but it wasn't terrible either. I wouldn't mind another season (but they gotta have more episodes or ditch the real time format) just to see Jimmy Smits become President.

If there wasn't so much great TV on currently this shiw would be better I think. It's just with Netflix, Amazon, AMC, etc. the competition is next level. I haven't rewatched the earlier 24's in years but I'm not to sure they'd hold up much better. Other the Jack Bauer being such a bad add character.
