    I use this for $30 https://www.amazon.com/Mediasonic-Ho...words=homeworx

You have to attach a USB memory stick or external hard drive. I haven't really used it for scheduling a recording, but do use it to pause or record live tv.

One issue I've come across: Couldn't put it on my living room tv because the Homeworkx remote affects the tv (change channels, inputs)

You can program it to a Harmony remote.

With the Fox Sports Go app, I can watch anything televised on Fox locally, NFL included. Same for the NBC sports app. Vue gives you access to the ESPN app and I was able to watch NBA Finals games. CBS is the only problem. I have an antenna, but I'm hoping Vue gets local channels here before long and then it's a done deal because it's just more convenient since the antenna isn't always reliable. The only thing I really miss out on are the games on NFL Network, but those have been jokes more often than not.

If you get League Pass, they have apps for FireTV I believe. I think LP is overpriced period but they have a package for devices only I believe. More of an MLB guy so not sure on the price difference.
