    Re: 2016-2017 TV Season

Summer wise, outside of Big Brother,Zoo,GMW,and maybe Celebrity Family Feud/Match Game(depending which celebrities are on it), nothing else really seems too interesting for me.

On NBC, Timeless I might look, or read reviews before watching. Reminds me similar to what I wanted Legends of Tomorrow to be like(going back in time, changing history). Powerless is set in the DC Universe, despite airing on NBC. Emerald City sounds like some PG13 version of Wizard of Oz.

On Fox, I'll give Pitch a shot. It's about the first woman playing in the MLB. Would've been better timing to have it in summer for obvious reasons.

On CW, Riverdale as some might guess, is a real life version of the Archie Comics. Seems to be some much darker/edgier version.

CBS, Man with a Plan stars Matt LeBlanc.

ABC, not confirmed yet, but Marvels Most Wanted definitely will be premiering at some point, since they already set it up on Agents of Shield.

TNT has that Animal Kingdom show that looks interesting. TNT isn't a go to channel for programming for me, so it'll probably be trash, but USA wasn't either til Mr. ROBOT so I'll check this one out at least once.

I'll be checking out Riverdale. I had heard they were planning a TV series but I never got much news after the initial announcement quite some time ago.

        OFF TO WIKI!

FOX seems to be the home of reboots sheesh.....

EDIT: hrm, this Riverdale show sounds a bit on the angsty side but i'm still giving it a shot.

Wayward Pines hopefully will be good again. I like Battlebots and Ninja Warrior, but I never watch them live, too much crap to fast forward through.

Then USA, Syfy, and TNT have shows in June/July continuing and a few new ones that look like they may be good.

Did you watch the Battlebots episode that aired couple weeks ago w/ Clark Gregg as a special guest judge? Also I love both those shows as well.

Uncle Buck seems entertaining. As usual, I'll be giving most of the sitcoms a run. Can't wait for Sebastian Maniscalco's show to come out but I don't know if it's coming this upcoming season or what.

Hopefully it won't be as cheesy as the last time TV worked with the Uncle Buck property.

Feed The Beast (June 5 at 10/9c)could be good. AMC gets it right sometimes.

I'll give it a look. I like Nia Long.

On the comic book scene FX has an entry for early 2017:

This is just me speculating, but based on how David Haller is portrayed in the comics, Legion could have somewhat of a Mr. Robot vibe.

Sooner or later something will change in regards to TV ratings. Nielsen rating system has been outdated for a number of decades. And just gets more outdated as time goes on. Just too bad nobody has been able to figure out a more accurate way of monitoring what people watch. Like having every single tv box sending data about what people watch.

Sure, more people today are watching TV shows through apps, on demand services and online, but those numbers are easier to figure out how many unique people are visiting those.

Yeah but at least live-plus-7 tries to reflect the time shifting habits of the masses of DVR owners. I'm not sure how it is acquired or how accurate it is.

Wow, The Blacklist fell that much?
