Re: The Walking Dead (Season 7)
Just saw 35 second footage online of Maggie getting the bat from Negan. Looks like they filmed a whole scene of her getting it but obviously never used it. Wonder if they did this for mostly everyone. Either that or filmed to throw people off if it leaked.

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 7)
Remember when we read ratings for season 6's opener dropped and the series was being questioned about its longevity?
With 17 million watching the October 23 premiere to discover who Negan would kill and 10.7 million among adults 18-49 for an 8.4 rating, the zombie apocalypse blockbuster had a very good night as the No. 1 show on broadcast and cable.
TWD knocked the stuffing out of the often-dominating Sunday Night Football demo-wise this weekend, left the Season 3 debut of Big 4 heavy hitter Empire Season 3 in the dust, and solidly bested its own Season 6 premiere last year.

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 7)
I stopped watching the show because of Rick and to a lesser degree Carl.
If I heard both had died, I'd start watching the show again.
I'm not sure if it's the character I can't stand, or the actor. I'm leaning towards the actor.
Does he still tilt his head on an angle and talk within 3" of a person's face?
Does he still raise his gun as far as he can, then angle it down to shoot at people?
This article basically sums up this series for me:
Shows have done more with less, and The Walking Dead doesn't seem to hold a flickering, creepy candle to the network's other original programming anymore.
The Walking Dead has a few basic plots, and they repeat endlessly until someone dies, suffers permanent physical damage, or the whole group flees. The group finds a safe zone, discovers that it's not so safe after all, and leaves as a different group than before. Maybe someone will have a crisis about killing people to stay alive, and maybe someone won't even put down the zombies because they were people once. But at this point, we're just seeing the same thing with different characters, ad nauseam.
They find a safe zone. The safe zone isn't safe because it's run by a Governor. They flee into next safe zone run by Governor 2.0..... wash, rinse, repeat.
My wish is once this series has run it's course, somehow, someway, HBO is given a chance to produce it so we can see what real writers and a proper production team can do with this material.Comment

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 7)
Besides, I don't see how something that pretty much follows the source material is gonna get much better with different producers. Unless they catch up to the comics real quick, I don't think we'll see Game of Thrones style deviation from the source material in the near future.Comment
