I think it actually makes complete sense for Negan to not kill Carl because Carl is pretty ballsy and/or crazy for doing what he did and Negan sees that as a trait that is fairly rare in a world in which most everyone thinks primarily about self preservation.

Now I do agree Carl not killing Negan right away when he had the chance was silly.

Also, this is by no means a spoiler as its just my own theory but my guess is that Carl will die doing something FOR Negan either to prove it to himself that he's just as much of a badass as Negan or because he genuinely has decided that Negans way is the way to go. It'll be something not many expect considering Carls genuine hatred of Negan.

But I cannot be the only one who has watched Carl for years sit back and think Rick is not "hard enough" and witness the awe of Carl in the last episode when he sees all that Negan power. It wouldn't surprise me in the least to see Carl turn and believe he can do what Negan does, only better, and die in the process.

btw - I am still enjoying the series and still really look forward to it each week, to the point I cannot wait to watch it like I do most of my shows (meh I'll DVR it and watch it in a few days).

About the only other show I can say that about is Game of Thrones so...

This show is really starting to suck now. JDM could not be a worse cast for Negan.

I'm very much inclined to agree with you. That knee buckle and chuckle that JDM does on almost every single line is so annoying. He over acts.

'Swear' was also one of the worst episode of the entire series. Slabtown comes in as a second.

It's not overacting, that's Negan.

I think he's a fabulous actor and brings more to the character than the comic did. For what the role is, he's doing it more than justice.

As much as I'm turned off by the season so far, I agree. I think he's doing a great job as Negan and I don't read the comics. I just really like the portrayal of this character.

That's my theory too, and I'd love to see Carl go dark, that would add a new twist. He has a much different personality then his dad.

I still watch it every week, it's still entertaining, but it's not like Game of thrones, I just watch the walking dead when I get time, but with GOT, I couldn't wait to watch it, I haven't gotten that feeling with TWD in a while.

JDM has been great as Neagan. My problem is the absolute crawl the show has taken with to many episodes focusing on one group at a time. I hope the mid season finale ramps things up for the second half.

JDM's physical presence leaves much to be desired comparative to the real Negan. Jon Hamm would've been a much better cast. I can't get past that, IMO, glaring issue.

I think the only person from the comics that would make sense would be Magna or someone from her group/someone in that role. It has to be way too soon for Whisperers. So I'd definitely say Magna from issue 127 right after the all out war.

The whole episode what about how/why he found his balls again.
There was at least 5 things that happened in last night's episode that pissed him off.

Loved last nights episode, it was the best WD in a long time.
