All I know is that it's more complicated than "oh, it's Dembe"...



Also, it may be important to recall Mr. Kaplan's convo with her captor, where she pretty much admits that "she understood why Red did what he did" or "she kind of deserved it" or whatever the literal quote was...

I think she's trying to teach Red a lesson, more than actually kill him and Dembe may be onto her and trying to diffuse the situation before it gets further out of hand between his two "parental figures"...

The last choice was my last choice as well and just like Red said, it can't be. It's way too obvious it's Dembe.

As far as Redemption goes:

It's good, but I wonder how sustainable it is without a dominant lead?

They have a trio of high functioning second bananas leading THAT charge...

I wonder about Redemption as well...Tom isn't the dominant type lead. I like Famke Janssen, but not totally buying into her as his mom, along with the weird tension between them (cause she doesn't know he's her kid i guess)

I like "Redemption" but don't like it's future-the original Blacklist is not a lock for a renewal, and even if it gets one I could see season 5 as it's last . Add to that the fact that Redemption scored low ratings with it's debut episode.

I was grateful and impressed with FX hanging in there with the terrific The Americans, even to the point of setting up a final two season renewal/closure despite poor ratings. I'm not sure NBC will go that route.

I would think that if it was iffy they'd keep Blacklist at least one more year. Tends to be worth it to have a known quantity vs. some random new show that could end up like Doubt lol

I think it's likely it will be renewed this year, but the lost ratings will be very difficult to get back, so I'm not at all confident of anything after that. Seems like yesterday Blacklist garnered the post-Super Bowl slot.

It reminds me of Person Of Interest's steep and sudden ratings decline.

Totally...i'm not excited from the ratings, and while I've enjoyed the season it is kinda failing to hit the "OMG MUST WATCH" that the show started with. Personally I got a little tired of all the Masha stuff at the end of last season/beginning of this one, so others may have lost it as well....This season got way better when it was back on more normal blacklister/story type eps.

Watched the first 2 episodes of Redemption. It's alright I guess, but I can't see it going past the 8 episode run.

Blacklist will return in 6 1/2 weeks with an entire episode devoted to Mr. Kaplan, including her origin story.

saw that, really looking forward to her origin and how that all resolves. Along with Dembe not wanting to end up like Mr. Kaplan, which is why he betrayed Red (or so we think now).

2nd Redemption was better, but agree that it might not last long...we'll see.

Anyone finish watching Redemption?

I thought it was a fun little side thing, but man that last episode crammed so much in 60 minutes it was kind of a hot mess. Cool if the characters resurface time to time, but I'll be happy having Red, Liz, Cooper & crew back.

Same here. It was better than having dead time, but too much crammed in. I do like the concept to fill in the breaks they do, so we get more shows vs. normal

I quite enjoyed it. Little something different with some enjoyable characters in a world I already love. Can't go wrong there. The story was pretty good and it kept me intrigued. I agree, with how much they crammed in that last episode, it was a bit much but all in all a very nice filler while waiting for Blacklist to return.

I didn't finish it because of it's second season possibilities.
