The Official 2016 Black Friday Thread

What do you guys have your eyes on this year?
Also, place your black friday hauls here.

I'm thinking a 50" - 55" 4K set, but my current 40" LCD does passive 3D. Not sure I'm ready to give that up (love 3D).
Will be picking up some blu rays as well.

I am keeping a eye on the KS8000 Samsung TV. I want to spend around a 1000 on it. Right now the 55 inch one is 999.99 but 55 is a little big for my room even the 49 inch is kind of big still at home with parents and so of course in a bed room but I am thinking about getting the 49 inch one and right now it is like 1100. With the 55 inch one being 999.999 right now hopefully the 49 inch will get down to 899.99 at some point. Also still need to get Rise of the Tomb Raider, flash season 2 and a bigger hard drive for ps4 down to about 20 GB on the 500 GB that comes with the normal ps4 need to upgrade to a 2 TB one. May also get batman return to Arkham if I can get it cheap. Not sure have heard some bad things about it having bugs and having frame rate issues.

I'll say this. You will get used to whatever sized tv you buy. If the 55" set is less expensive, but has the same specs, go for it. I use a projector in my bedroom, so an 80" image. You adjust.

I'd definitely wait to see BF pricing though.

While its the size of lack of size I have being in a bed room. I have a old desktop stand that my current 37 inch TV is on and even with the 37 inch my TV takes up the whole stand. So with a 55 inch TV I would have like 9 inch's on each side going over the stand and my current 37 inch TV is not that far away from my dvd, video game book shelf on one side and some other stuff I have on the other side. If I was out on my one I would most likely just but the 55 inch and buy like a 70 inch TV stand so that way I would have some room to spare if I want to go even bigger at some point has I don't think I would ever go above 70 inch's most likely. But a 70 inch stand in my bed room would be nuts and like I said even with just my current stand a 55 inch would have around 9 inch's on each side handing over the stand.

Do you have room for a 60" tv stand? (which can be had for $100 or less)

I just hate over spending for less (assuming both tv set have the same specs) But if you physically have no room to spare that's not an option.

            Good luck!

Black Friday....the time of the year everyone goes crazy to save money.

It's a risk sure, but I know some stores like best buy and Walmart have the whole "if we have this item cheaper at any point within 30 days after purchase, we can price match the difference". Which people aren't always aware of them applying on black Friday too. Sure, there's no guarantee the thing you buy ends up on sale, but most times it probably will. Or even if you're able to see a "leaked ad", days before the sale, you could buy that exact item and then get money back later on.

I've never gone shopping on black Friday, and never plan to. After seeing the "Christmas crazies" in terms of drivers and shoppers on what was probably December 22nd or something one year, can't imagine how horrible black Friday would be like first hand.

I have gone out the last couple of years and it's never been that bad. Yea the stores are packed but never any of these crazy stories you hear on the news or see in movies. They are always calm and peaceful. And I don't remember not getting a certain thing I wanted.

I haven't seen anything worth leaving my house for in years.

Most stuff can be bought online.

I'm looking primarily at smart home hubs and accessories, Gears 4, WatchDogs 2, maybe a phone if the price is right. I'll have to see which ones are going on sale.

Might get an Xbox One S if my bro-in-law wants to buy my current Xbox One. Looks like there will be some $249 bundles out there. Hopefully Best Buy comes through with something good!

I'm finally moving out on my own for the first time and I'm looking to spend roughly $150-200 on a TV. Do you guys have any recommendations on where to keep an eye out/what kinda TV I might be able to expect at that price point?

Keep an eye out on Best Buy, Target, Walmart. And during BF you could probably get something around a 35" tv. A couple years ago I got a 32", I think, from BB for around $175. And obviously prices have dropped in 2 years. Also I got there like an hour and half after the store opened and I got the last TV. So make sure if you want a deal you get there relatively early so that way you can get the TV you want.

Pretty sure you'll be able to get a 1080P set in the 40-50 inch range for $200 or less.
Walmart has 1 hour guarantees on many of their BF deals. Just have to be in that line. You get a raincheck if they go out of stock.
