If I was out on my one I would most likely just but the 55 inch and buy like a 70 inch TV stand so that way I would have some room to spare if I want to go even bigger at some point has I don't think I would ever go above 70 inch's most likely. But a 70 inch stand in my bed room would be nuts and like I said even with just my current stand a 55 inch would have around 9 inch's on each side handing over the stand.
Unless you get a TV where the legs are on the ends, what does it matter if you have over hang?

I am not saying it really matters I am just saying I only have so much room in my bed room and much bigger then like 50 would most likely take up to much space. On the left of my TV I have a stand where all my games and movies are and on my right I have some other things like my rockband stuff and also a stand where I keep my cloths and such.

A lot of movies that I'd like to get, but I'd prefer to get the 3D versions if I can. No deals for them that I can see. Shame.

3D is getting no love. They didn't advertise that San Andreas 3D, Mad Max 3D and Jupiter Ascending 3D were $10 each last year. They had some older 3D titles in the $5 bins.

I really want to upgrade to a 55" 4K set , but none that I'm looking at have 3D.

Love my 40" passive 3D set just for the convenience (have plenty of cheap glasses from the movie theater).

Are you suggesting I might be surprised with some 3D sales on BF that won't show up in the online ads?

Yeah, it's possible. I was able to find copies of Jupiter Ascending, and Mad Max Fury Road in their regular movie display at Walmart. San Andreas was at Best Buy in the regular movie display. Only reason I knew about them was a post on either slickdeals.net or cheap%$%gamer

IIRC Jack the Giant Slayer, Hansel and Gretel, I Frankenstein, Dredd & Abe Lincoln Vampire Hunter were some of the 3D titles in the Walmart Promo bins last BF. I already had them.

I'm just looking for a decent price on Xmen: Apocalypse ,TMNT: Out of the Shadows and Star Trek Beyond.

Same for X-Men and Star Trek. I have yet to see TMNT (1 ro 2), so I'll wait on that one. Also want to get Suicide Squad in 3D, but that's not coming out until December.

Basically, by Christmas, I'd like to score those three and then Jason Bourne. I'm starting to question myself as to whether I should be getting the 4K films soon. If I am to upgrade, should I already be beginning my transition? The answer of course is based on two parameters:

                      1) Whether the 3D version of the film matters enough for me to want to double-dip on some 4K titles in the future (something like BvS was actually not worth the 3D since the film was too dark too often to enjoy it and it only had the theatrical cut), even if it means I can sell one of the 2D BD copies later.

                      2) Whether it would be less costly to:
                      a) Buy the 4K film now (as the 2D film is included).
                      b) Buy the BD now, and by the time I get a 4K player and TV the 4K BD's will reduce in price and I could possibly sell the original BD.

I'm thinking I'll only want to retroactively upgrade my BD films that will release in native-4K, and the others I may be able to just hold off and accept that given the 368 BD films I own, it would be far too costly to upgrade all of them. I sold every DVD of mine that upgraded to Blu, but it wasn't cheap to do. I probably made $2 on average for every DVD, so the turnaround wasn't great. The other consideration is some films will only feature Dolby Atmos on 4K (something which I don't have in my HT system yet, but plan to later).

So, given that X-Men: Apocalypse and Star Trek Beyond will be $9 for the BD, $18 for 4K, and who knows how much for 3D, where do I find my greatest pull?

What's sad is that I'm making possibly $9, nearly the amount that I spend daily on a Jamba Juice, make the difference between owning a certain version of a film or not. But I guess that's why Black Friday gets people crazy mad, eh? Buy enough things on sale and you may be saving thousands. Those thousands matter a bit to teachers like me.

I'm hoping to get a great deal (~$1800) on a new kitchen appliance set (fridge, stove & dishwasher and microwave).

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

he wrote a lengthy post about that on his site, he said some is better some is worse. ultimately if more people see it cause it's on blu ray he's happy
