    Amazon Firestick vs Amazon FireTV

I have both. They both do the same except the fire TV is smoother.

I'm sure location matters but i havent regretted dropping that satellite company even for an hour.
Rare to see no data cap whatsoever...

Same here. I haven't been within 200 gigs of the cap though, and that's with myself or my wife streaming something most of the day due to our somewhat opposite schedules.

Not exactly a true statement. The obvious difference is in speed and functionality between the two. The FTV has a wired connection port availability while the stick does not. The FTV has 5.1 surround sound and the stick does not. FTV also has a expandable memory slot for up to 128GB or something. The biggest difference though is the FTV can do 4K streams while the stick can't.

Yeah, Cox cable and Century Link DSL both have caps as far as I know...it's the future, these companies can't be running the infrastructure just for a paltry fee per month...Once we start streaming oodles and oodles of data they'll want their money just like the phone companies with the data plans now. Some have "unlimited" but it's 3G or throttled, which isn't that great.

Not sure about the rest, but I think AT&T Fiber's main selling point other than speed is their unlimited. I don't think I have reached a threshold yet of data to where I should look for throttled speeds, but I have yet to notice any at all. Give me til the end of the month to see lol

Yeah, I know Cox has a higher limit on their gigabit fiber, but there may still be one...

I don't have any fiber options currently...that's a slower buildout and usually to newer neighborhoods unless it's a bigger thing.

Eventually things will adapt to let me cut easier, but it's not financially that big of an improvement vs. benefits for me.

Never dug into as much as you but for my needs it does the same things. The FTV is smoother to me and I prefer it that is why I have it in my living room as oppose to the [emoji91] stick which is in the bedroom but for me they're the same but if u want to get technical yeah sure you're probably right.

Wow.. thanks for all the replies. I eventually ended up getting the Fire TV for $90 and am very happy with it period. I got rid of the extended cable package I had and just got basic with high-definition so I can get local stations. But I also purchased the $20 sling TV package which gives me more than enough for my needs. Very happy with my decision it also cut my cable bill down to a half! By the way the Fire TV does support 7.1 surround sound
I am glad I got the Buell- I love riding it, I love the oddball looks I get on the road- I love people asking "What IS that thing?" I love flying into a corner WAY too hot, scared spitless and sure I'll never hold it at this speed- and hearing the bike whisper "Sissy!"...
