FYI Pv, Dream Warriors just had its 30th year Anniversary. I'm gonna pop it in this weekend as it's been a while since I've watched it

I too am a big Halloween fan. I love the boxed set and watch it every Halloween. Halloween III is amazing and had it not been called Halloween III it would have been received much better I think. I even enjoy the Rob Zombie ones for what they are. It's not Carpenter's masterpiece but I understand what Zombie was trying to do in making Michael more human and looked at him from a serial killer standpoint. Something about all the movies with the Halloween season vibe just make me like watching them. Even the silly Resurrection one.

A few years ago the theater here showed the original Halloween and it was awesome to see on the big screen. I was born in 1976 and never saw a Halloween movie in the theater until H20 and I had a blast seeing it. For some reason they never showed it again even though other theaters still do each Halloween season. There were only 15 people in the theater so maybe that's why but I loved it and would go again.

Really looking forward to this new movie. Robert Englund as Loomis would be fantastic. Maybe they could get Kane Hodder to play the sheriff just because.

Yep, saw that. Couple nice tributes written about it on some horror sites. Definitely the best Nightmare besides the original.

I actually learned about the Producer's Cut a long, long time ago when I had the theatrical cut DVD. In the menu, there was a picture of Kara Strode tied up to the altar and I wondered "Hmm, that shot is not in the movie." I researched and found out about the Producer's Cut.

And through some means I am not going to get into, I had the Producer's Cut a long time ago on DVD with a TV cut, Director's Cut, Rough Cut, and Theatrical Cut of Halloween 6 along with a ton of extras including Denise Richards trying out for a part of the brother's gf. She walks out and the casters say she can't act and would never amount to anything.

But yea, the Producer's Cut is definitely the superior film of the two. More Loomis scenes, more actual story and the special effects aren't over the top.

Wait a minute, there are multiple people on this thread calling Halloween III: Season of the Witch awesome and amazing. Must have strolled into the Bizarro World.

The original Halloween set the gold standard for horror movies in my opinion. Edge of your seat Horror, looking forward to seeing another one in this series.

I remember seeing it as a kid. We thought it was going to be awesome with at least some Michael Myers sprinkled in somehow. It wasn't awesome. We mocked it for years. I can't even imagine how dated that would look now, where as the original Halloween still stands the test of time.

It has a cult following. And it is a charming horror film IMO. Acquired taste indeed

                      No, for two reasons.

                      1) the intro tells you what happens at the end of H5.

                      2) Don't sit through that atrocity of the movie. H5 has only one redeeming quality. The director made sure that Myers was in almost every shot, stalking in the background. It's a great addition to the atmosphere and it's fun playing "Where's Michael?"

Just want to make sure of something. Does the Miramax intro come before the Dimension film intro. I'm gonna watch a version doesn't tell me if I'm watching the Director's cut

                        Thanks

Watch what I believe to be the Producer's Cut of H6. It's been a long time since watching, and I must say this movie was good. The backstory information, and how it was all tied together was very helpful. The atmosphere through out the movie was well done also.

Seeing Dr. Loomis again gave me warm fuzzies. It seemed as Michael's kills were more brutal than I remember. If you haven't seem the PC, I highly recommend you do. As been said before, a much more different film that I remember

The first way you can recognize the theatrical cut from the producer's cut is in the narration of the intro.

If Loomis is narrating, it is the Producer's Cut. If Tommy is narrating, it's the theatrical cut. I believe the Director's cut has Loomis narrating but the baby is in an air chamber or something while he is on the altar on the other two versions.
