Just saw this with the family yesterday. Not too bad. Plot was a little blah but I mean it's still dinosaurs so I'm always in. Few cool little twists that added some intrigue. Blue is awesome. And baby raptors are super cute lol. Pratt and Howard play well off each other. So all in all a fun time.

Ending was dumb though. They straight up wrote a death sentence for a lot of people by letting the dinos out. They aren't any better than anyone at InGen now. Was just a way for a 3rd movie to somewhat make sense though. I wish we would have seen more of the old run down facilities on the island.

For whatever reason I have held off posting about this film and like twenty others.

My short impressions was that I thought it was cool with the tone they went for this time, playing it off a bit like a horror movie in a way. The CGI itself was really no better than Jurassic World, but they integrated it well in two ways: there were a lot of shots with animatronics, and many scenes were at night and in the rain. Perfect integration. I have more than several quibbles with the film including what was said above, but I think that was always the endgame Trevorrow wanted to go towards. I believe the next JW film is the one that CT always wanted to film. It'll definitely be a different take, but we'll see how well it can be done.

I saw this yesterday and thought it was meh. The events through the movie felt rushed. It was hard to take Captain Stottlemeyer from Monk serious as a badass. I too felt the time on the island was too short, made it feel like just a check off point in the movie.

Finally got a chance to watch this and frankly I did not like the ending nor the idea of the other genetically created "monstrosity."

I did though like the overall tone of the movie, the horror route was somewhat a throwback to the first Jurassic Park movie. It was definitely more pronounced in this one but it worked well. The military Dinosaur aspect they've harped on for 2 movies now is so stupid. However i will admit i liked the new dinosaur they created in this one. It was truly terrifying, much more so than the one from the first Jurassic World movie.

I did not like the whole cloning aspect introduced with the little girl. It feels out of place in this movie. Of course it's more feasible than creating dinosaurs from frog DNA, but it just sort of muddied the waters.

And now the loose Dinosaurs, it sounds like a terrible idea for the next installment. Of course i know the franchise couldn't keep repeating the same process of creating parks that get overrun by the attractions, and that the series had to find a new approach but loose dinosaurs in cities doesn't sound like a movie i want to watch. That has the recipe for a Sy-Fy original.

At least know we have another Godzilla movie i can rely on to give me my fix of insane monsters.

I liked JW1 much better than 2. I liked 1 being about the park and everything going on there. Looked better with movie happening mostly during the day compared to this one being dark/gloomy and indoors alot.

I liked the effects in the movie. Not a major one, but when that ball from JW1 that they were driving in went into the water, it looked cool seeing it going up and down in the water, and seeing everything sinking, almost like a glass ball submarine.

Mini thing near the beginning, but it was funny in the news headline how it referred to a certain person questioning the existence of dinosaurs, despite there being a park that hundreds of thousands(maybe millions) of people visited and have photos/videos of and scientific evidence to back it up.

Didn't care for those 2 assistant people they added in the movie. Even the girl didn't really add much, but the secret about her was probably one of more notable parts of the movie.

I liked the ending scene though. It really sets up the next movie well. Reminds me of Planet of the Apes in the way that the 1st movie was good, 2nd one wasn't as good but it set up the 3rd movie well.

JW was a far superior film to Lost Kingdom. I really could care less to ever see this one ever again. Just extremely lazy film making. And I don't take Jurassic Park films seriously.

This one though.....was a bomb. Terrible story telling and it seemed like a total "going through the motions" effort.

I hope JW3 drastically improves upon this schlock.

Surprised this thread dont have more post and really surprised that this movie is getting so much hate. At first I liked JW 1 more but now after seeing this movie 3 times I think this is better than JW 1 and the 2nd best in the franchise. The only bad movie in the franchise is JP 3. This movie I think is better than JW 1 because the action is much more intense and the girl in the movie is a lot better and less annoying than the 2 kids that were in JW 1. This movie was awesome dont get the hate at all.

I agree with most of the comments here. We finally rented this and it was ok. Enjoyable, but not amazing. Looking forward to the 3rd one though.
