At least with The Amazing Race you can easily get access to CBS.

Ya, that's the good thing about it. But just sucks seeing a show on as long as amazing race has been on, not even being important enough to have on a Canadian tv network.

Shows I watch/will watch are a mess. Amazing race not on Canadian networks, black lightning not on Canadian networks, Simpsons doesn't even seem to consistently air on global, supergirl stuck on showcase, and arrow is behind on CTV and stuck on space for new episodes.

Thankfully the one thing sacred on Canadian TV is sticking around for at least 7 years(hnic on cbc), though even that has been messed with by Rogers in the recent past.

What are Rogers and shaw's #2 networks? Bell has ctv/CTV2, but Rogers just with city and Shaw with global. Both need bigger 2nd networks for all these other shows.

        Re: Canadian Television

I picked up the CW at the end of last season. We have a pick and choose channel set-up with Eastlink. I can remove channels like Discovery, Country Music, Space, etc that I don't watch and replace it with anything, so I chose that.

I think the only show that I watch where I need to keep a Canadian channel is Big Brother Canada on Global. Everything else I watch is from American networks. I don't watch hockey so I don't even bother with CBC. I watch the local news on my ipad.

Don't know what happened but now Arrow is suddenly back on CTV2. New episode aired same as in USA. Too bad I forgot it was on, messed up my recording since I had it set to record arrow on space like it's been all season.

Big brother Canada premieres Wednesday at 7pm est.

Looks like the Monday, Wednesday, Thursday scheduling for the show, which I hate. I always felt Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday is best schedule for any BB version.

Can't even say what times all episodes air because from looking at Tv guide, there's no consistency. They just slot it in empty timeslots whether it be 6pm,7pm or 8pm.

BB Canada like all BB seasons is frustrating to watch. Every season I watch, people I like go early.

Literally only have 3 people left that I like, and if my fave goes, don't know if other 2 are enough to keep me watching.

What I always hate with this is that the people I like are the popular ones among the fans. Lol, if I ever played BB, I'd so be hated for not liking everyone's fave.

                So, that happened.....

Don't think I'm watching this season again(unless they have a buyback and undo this eviction).

                    Really enjoyed the first episode.
Just heard it was renewed for a second series. Kim Coates was fantastic in this!

Big Brother Canada gets renewed for S7! Another season I won't get to be on lol. Hopefully next season is better than S6. S6 got all the good players out early on resulting in a boring final month of the show (specifically jury onwards).

CTV announcing their schedule on Thursday and I think others might be around then too(since Bell owns like half these networks lol). Some changes in the US schedule for next season, I hope CTV/CTV2 can accommodate those changes and we don't have broadcasting delays.

                        Re: Canadian Television

Rogers held their upfront recently. CityTV being one of the networks with the schedule released. A notable change I saw is The Simpsons is now on CityTV(who now seem to have the FOX Sunday schedule). I believe Simpsons has been on Global for its entire run, so it'll be weird seeing them on a different Canadian network.

GlobalTV, minus Survivor, there's not even any show on that network I watch anymore. CTV sounds like they could be changing up theirs as well(CW shows could be moved off CTV/CTV2). It's looking like the amount of shows I watch on the major Canadian networks might be going down. Only HNIC on CBC, 2 CityTV shows, 1 Global show, the rest look to be on specialty networks and sports channels. Can see more and more why people don't want to pay for cable.

                          Re: Canadian Television

                          Some big changes for CTV.

They're rebranding some channels like Bravo,Gusto and bigger ones like Comedy and Space.

Space will be CTV Sci-Fi(and I'm guessing it will be airing the shows like Arrow,Flash,Legends of Tomorrow seeing how all those shows have been left off CTV/CTV2 schedules)

                          Comedy will be CTV Comedy

                          Bravo will be CTV Drama

                          Gusto will be CTV Life

They'll also be adding CTV Movies and CTV Vault as on demand services(with ads).

At least CTV is trying different things. Not that I've watched Bravo or Gusto, but CTV Drama and CTV Life sounds so much better. CTV Comedy is an interesting name given that channel has been the Canadian version of the Comedy Network in the US. I also heard that Bell is acquiring Just for Laughs(one of the main shows aired on the comedy channel). And CTV SciFi obviously makes it sound closer to the SciFi network in the US, although it seems like their biggest shows will be CW shows.

Not much I watch anymore on the Canadian channels these days, mostly just local news. I watch all the DC stuff on The CW.

The only show on Global I watch is BB Canada, even though this past season sucked @ss.

The only thing on CTV for me will be the upcoming TAR Canada.

City TV renewed Bad Blood which I'm looking forward to.

And on Showcase The Sinner is coming back in August and I've set the dvr for Marvel's Cloak & Dagger.

I would watch the CW if I got it in HD. I have the non HD version of the channel though which is weird. I think that might be one of the only channels(minus these "timeshifting channels") that I don't get in HD but get in SD.

I mean I get so many channels I don't want. Don't care about these channels like OMNI,Vice,Gusto,Bravo,Slice,French channels and things like that which are on the basic cable channels. Really hate how much control these companies have over the country. If we were able to have a proper "pay per channel" plan implemented(not like the previous one where the cost of 3 or so channels were more than peoples full cable packages) I would get it for sure. CBS,ABC,FOX,NBC(maybe, depending on football),Sportsnet,TSN,CW would probably be it.

Anyone on here know enough about their cable/tv plan to help me choose a new one(or stick with my current plan)?

Contract coming up soon and I like what I have for the most part, but the cost of it seems high, and I'm debating if taking lower cable plan and adding on might be better, depending on all those options

Even more reason I hate the network shifting of arrowverse stuff. I don't know what channel I need. And CW doesn't come with any package.
