I wonder what happened to the whole CTV rebrand. They announced it in June, but nothing has happened since. Maybe they scrapped it? I thought by January for the latest we'd see changes, especially before shows return from midseason breaks.

Re: Canadian Television
CTV finally gave announcement on the rebrands.
Seems like its happening in September, right before shows start having season premieres.
No idea on type of schedule these networks will have. I'd imagine it's basically same stuff as those networks had before, just all of them having CTV logos on them.
I'm guessing Flash is still on Netflix? Arrow in its final season hopefully stays on TV.Comment

CTV has also gotten the Canadian rights for the Starz network programming as it's been added to their Crave TV streaming platform.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: Canadian Television
Sad news. A contestant from Amazing Race Canada has died. Kenneth(from s5, part of the entertaining Team Give'r) died in an apparent fall on a mountain in BC.
That was one of my fave teams from any season/version of Amazing Race. Was hoping they'd be brought back for an all star season.Comment

Re: Canadian Television
September 12th is the official launch date for the rebranded CTV channels.
From the commercials, doesn't look like anything about the channels are really changing that much. CTV comedy is still airing the usual shows like BBT and Friends reruns, JFL and so on. CTV Sci Fi with Star Trek and for a few months only, Arrow.
I wonder if they'll integrate all these networks in one app. Sounds like a better use of their resources than having multiple apps.Comment

Man, there are a bunch of annoying people on the new Big Brother Canada this year!
The worst of the bunch are John Luke and Jamar.Comment

Re: Canadian Television
Haven't seen 2nd episode yet, but that wrestling guy is my obvious fave. I looked him up and he actually had some notable appearances. Teamed with Scott Halls son for some matches, and had even appeared on Impact Wrestling. I'm sure he's hoping he can become the next Austin (no, not that Austin. I mean the one who appeared on BB17 and is now one of the bigger stars in AEW as Luchasaurus).Comment

Re: Canadian Television
Just heard what happened in the house. Historic moment in BB Canada. Will be shown on Wednesdays episode.
And also is a sign of the ugliness that exists in reality tv, especially Big Brother. And the double standards that exist within the show and the way producers handle things.
Turns out it was 2 people! Now that's historic.
This is absolutely the craziest episode in BB history. First part of episode deals with the HGs finding out about the coronavirus and HGs coming together for a greater cause. Then 2nd half is all about fights and ejections. You cant have 2 more polar opposite moments on reality tv.Last edited by Majingir; 03-19-2020, 08:25 PM.Comment

Re: Canadian Television
This BB season is a disaster.
Most blame is on the HGs themselves, but casting absolutely needs to be at fault here
Same casting as BBUS, and 2 of the last 3 seasons there have been 2 of the worst in BB history. Now BBCAN8 features one of the worst screened casts ever.Comment

Re: Canadian Television
Regardless, that will be such a weird final episode. We've never seen a season of Survivor or BB over here halted like this.Comment

Re: Canadian Television
Tonight and tomorrow and that’s it. From what I’ve read online some of the production crew quit and forced their hand. On the FB site some people are saying that could be it for good. Whoever was in charge of recruitment this season did a horrendous job. 1 quit, 2 booted out and another wants to quit. Just 1 actual eviction. Terrible!Comment

This Wednesday was the final actual episode. Next Wednesday is the next and final episode and is just them wrapping up the season and telling HGs the show is done.
I hope the show isnt done for good.Comment

Re: Canadian Television
The final episode of the season was sad. Not that I'm gonna miss most of the HGs, but more of a dose of reality to see this. Especially since I haven't really seen people reacting to the virus (not including comments online or news reporters and all that, but like actual regular people) since everything has happened so fast and I've been off a few weeks now.
As much as I didnt like the cast, they should let some of these HGs return for the next season. Half cast of BB8 hgs.
That final scene with Sheldon and Brooke, that's a sad ending with the realism to all of it. It's not just some tv show ending, it's the unfortunate part of life and reality that caused this.Last edited by Majingir; 04-01-2020, 07:09 PM.Comment
