M:I 6 - Mission Impossible (July 27, 2018)

Not much out for the film right now, except:

• Christopher McQuarrie is returning as director from Rogue Nation.
• Henry Cavill joins the cast.
• There is a sequence in this film that Tom Cruise has been training for the past whole year, that is being described as the biggest thing he will have ever done in his career.
• Filming starts April 10th.

As for the third bullet, man this guy sure doesn't get enough credit. Vaulting off a building in III, scaling up a building in Ghost Protocol, hanging from a plane in Rogue Nation... and don't forget his underwater sequence in that film as well, where he trained so that he could hold his breath for as long as six minutes underwater. Crazy stuff indeed.

Rogue Nation was spectacular, right up with M:I 3. I have every bit of faith this will remain the same, especially if the cast holds together from last time around.

I've enjoyed every M:I movie, and I am sure I will enjoy this one too. Rogue Nation was very, very good.

Tom Cruise can be annoying outside of the movies, but he's a crazy good action star. Looking forward to this!

You had me at Mission: Impossible. While MI3 was my favorite (the one with Phillip Hoffman Seymour as the bad guy), the sequels have been really good too.

Tom Cruise in an action movie is money.

Tom Cruise can be annoying outside of the movies, but he's a crazy good action star. Looking forward to this!

I've done a real 180 on Cruise. I thought he was just a bat**** crazy lunatic for a long time. The more I listen and learn (check out Russel Brand's interview on Joe Rogan's podcast where he talks about working with Tom Cruise) it sounds like he's just a crazily kind person who is probably really naive and almost child-like (like a permanent 16 year old) and has been controlled/puppeteer'd most of his life without really understanding it.

It honestly seems kind of hard to find people who actually know him to say bad things about him, as a man.

Thus the Scientology crap...but I digress. Though Russell Brand is bat **** crazy himself.....so not sure how much faith (get it?) I'd put in his interviews.

Due to scheduling conflicts (mostly from Avengers: Infinity War Pt. 1 & 2), Jeremy Renner will not be involved in the new Mission Impossible sequel.

Perhaps the reason Cavill was cast. Remove a Marvel member, add a DC guy. Nice.

Tom sustained an injury on set. At 55 he may want to consider more stunt doubles.

Well.... when you stand in front of the 1000's in a Scientology rally and are revered like he is, you might develop a bit of a gawwwdd complex. Pfffft....gawds don't need stunt doubles!

The film is on hiatus while Cruise recovers, but the studio says the movie is still on schedule for a July 2018 opening.
