    Netflix - Bloodline

    I know we've been discussing this in the Netflix thread, but I didn't want to hijack it with all my questions/comments.

    The series has ended and I finished watching the last episode last night.
    There are a few questions that I believe would have been answered if the series was allowed to continue.
    And I feel that the writers left some things open on purpose as perhaps they hope it'll be picked up by someone else.

    Season 1 was still far and away the best season of them all, and I do feel the show lost steam as it came to its conclusion. Episode 9 in particular was really bizarre and I'm still not sure it was necessary.
    Totally agree about episode 9 as I mentioned in the Netflix thread. I thought Danny was a good catalyst in season one but as his chances for redemption ebbed with each episode, he became nothing more than that to me. He wasn't likable in the least and his ghosts appearances in subsequent seasons would have been better if he was invisible. I liked the siblings best of all even though Kevin's continued screwups got frustrating over time.

    Season 2 was my favorite.

      Kevin certainly became the Costanza of the group by Season 3.
      I felt bad for Danny, but as you said, by the end, he was a scumbag too;
      Using the Inn for illegal purposes and sending veiled, passive aggressive threats through John's daughter.

      John is who I feel worst for. He basically destroyed his life to protect a family that was fractured and poisoned from its conception.

        I though Sissy Spacek was amazing in Season 3, particularly the scene with John and Kevin where she reflects on how each kid was at birth. That was really powerful scene.

          I could barely hear her during that scene, lol. We nearly had to turn on the subtitles.

            Season 2 was my favorite, as well. I agree about S3E9 being really bizarre. I had a hard time sitting through it.

              Yeah Spacek was great, but they really threw her character under the bus, huh? I didn't like her much before that scene anyway. As matriarchs go Sally was no Miss Ellie (Dallas).

              Yeah, but in the end he sure got lucky. We find out Sheriff Aguirre is a pretty good guy, at least that's the way I saw him.

              What a DumbBell. Hard to say. It might have just been a rush job convenience. If you're suggesting that she set Kevin up that's possible. Aguirre told John that the feds told him "Belle forgot", but he might not have been fully in the loop.

              EDIT: An Interesting scene where confirmed addict Kevin is drinking Corona with the locals, just before getting arrested.
