I guess I gotta see it again.

I still think he has been misused since the first GotG film is all, even though he has had some funny moments still.

Before I say this I need to admit I knew nothing about GotG until these movies.

I see where you're coming from, but I also think it works. GotG are the misfits to me. That's not a slight. They as individuals and as a group don't fit any type of superhero stereotype like the others do. Drax has his dumb moments, but he's always trying to throw down. All the damn time. Like, it's annoying at times lol.

I also think he (along with the group) fit with this specific movie. I feel like it'd be pretty accurate to say this was the darkest of these movies. Why is Gamora; Thor/Quil interaction; anything Groot and of course Rocket was needed and appreciated by me.

I guess I'm not really arguing with you, more so explaining why it worked for me.

          I blame Quill for everything.

They almost had that damn thing off of Thanos’ Hand and Quill gets in his feelings instead of waiting til they take it off and then pistol whip him.

But yeah, the first 10 mins and the fight scene in Wakanda/Titan are my two favorite fight scenes in the movie. Seeing Cap’n and T’Challa run side by side like that was like Unity in Motion[emoji1490].

Also, when Thor arrives on Wakanda. That part was bad***. BRING ME THANOS!!

I've slept on Thor quite a bit in my life, but he was one of my favorite characters in the movie.

I suppose we can speak freely without spoiler tags.

As much as I agreed in the moment... had Quill stopped him, that would have been a different outcome than the endgame Strange that had forseen. Apparently they are on the right track. This is the same reason Strange gave up the time stone to save Stark. Clearly Tony is key to the one way that a victory can occur.

It still may have cost the lives of half the species' of the universe (or maybe they can find something else to that), but it may be the only way that doesn't create a universal apocalypse.

EDIT: I know you didn't mention that he shouldn't have let his emotions got the best of him, but that's one of the main reasons why I thought he screwed up badly, despite the impact of the situation. But then I realized that Stark did the exact same thing with Bucky when he learned about what he did (under his own power or not) to his parents, and caused the divide among the group for the past few years.

My favorite line was Strange asking Quill: "Who is your master?" and the response: "What am I supposed to say, Jesus?" I was laughing so hard.

In the director commentary they said that wasn't CGI like everyone was expecting it to be, but actually someone blowing on Tom Hollands ear and giving him the chills.

There's literally only one way to win. Doctor Strange surely knows exactly what to do to win. Reminds me of the agents of shield season finale too.

Im thinking the ending of the movie happened on purpose. Doctor Strange wanted that ending since it'd help them win. I don't think the people impacted was random. I could see there being a specific reason they were the ones to have that happen.

As for the drax stuff, I liked comedic drax. Guardians 2 I found drax and groot to be at their best of the 3 appearances so far. Batista is surprisingly good at the comedic role.

I've heard that happenen in other movies(not talking mcu movies specifically) too. Sometimes improvising saves them so much money. It's their default at times to just be like "don't worry, we'll just CGI it later", but someone else might suggest an easy way to get around it. Forgot the movie, probably wasn't mcu related, but I saw an interview with someone saying how directors were gonna CGI a baby's movement in their arms during a scene. The actor was then like "what if I move one finger so it looks like the baby is moving?", problem solved, lots of time and money saved.

I always wondered why the plan wasn't to just double tap his dome with Quills gun once Mantis put him to sleep....

Hell Thanos said to aim for the head. They did all this extra. Assuming they got the glove off was the plan to then place Thanos under space arrest...? No they were probably gonna kill him anyways.

I'm guessing since Mantis was sitting on his shoulders with her hands on his head, shooting him in the head may have put her in danger.

Would it be that easy to just shoot him in the head? Isn't there other characters in the series that could take getting shot by a gun to face?

I figured he was strong without glove also, but I never read the comics or anything.

I cannot STAND cliched and predictable movies and you could see this was happening a long ways off....really was the only down part of the movie to me.

Well...that and just how vulnerable and useless Hulk's character was. I felt like that could've been explored more than Vision's weird love interest. Perhaps that will be more of a story line in the sequel.
