When did Hugh Jackman say he would return as Wolverine for an Avengers film? I can't find that quote anywhere.

Hugh Jackman has been quoted as saying, "The Avengers would prove too much to turn down."

Now this doesn't mean that this is going to happen 100%, but Fox has yet to replace Hugh Jackman and Avengers 4 is currently in production. A quick cameo, in theory, would not be too difficult to pull off. Jackman previously stated that if a script came his way featuring The Avengers, Captain America, and Iron Man, he would heavily consider the idea of returning as Wolverine. He explains.

"Because I always love the idea of him (Wolverine) within that dynamic, with the Hulk obviously, with Iron Man but there are a lot of smarter people with MBAs who can't figure that out (laughter). You never know. At the moment, honestly, if I really did have them there, I probably wouldn't have said this is the last."

Here you go. As was said, this was from before Logan and nothing has been said recently.

"It's interesting because for the whole 17 years I kept thinking that would be so great, like I would love to see, particularly, Iron Man and the Hulk and Wolverine together. And every time I saw an Avengers movie I could just see Wolverine in the middle of all of them like punching them all on the head. But it was like, 'Oh well, that's not gonna happen,' and it was interesting just when I first saw that headline, it was just the possibility of it and who knows what's gonna happen, obviously, I was like, 'Hang on!' But I think, unfortunately, the ship has sailed for me, but for someone else I would like to see Wolverine in there."

Channing Tatum was signed to play Gambit, but he was left out of Apocalypse. Don't know if he is still under contract or not.

As of a week or so, the Gambit movie begins shooting in March and just signed Lizzy Caplan to play the female lead. It's still "happening."

We know that they would all be recast, so who the hell do they cast for the X-Men and Fantastic Four? It feels like we're running out of actors that aren't already attached to Marvel lol.



While promoting Logan, Hugh Jackman actually said he would play Wolverine one more time if he was involved with Avengers 4.



I mean, seriously.



Reed Richards- Jon Hamm or Patrick Wilson

Sue Storm- Charlize Theron, Alice Eve or Elizabeth Banks

Johnny Storm- Sam Clafin

Ben Grimm- Sam Worthington or Alan Ritchson

Dr. Doom- Mads Mikkelsen or Matthew Mcconaughy



Professor X- Mark Strong or keep McAvoy

Cyclops- Matt Bomer

Jean Grey- Jessica Chastain, Rachel McAdams

Wolverine- Tom Hardy

Storm- Freema Agyeman

Iceman- Dylan O’Brien, Logan Lerman

Beast- Alan Tudyk

Rogue- Lyndsy Fonseca

Gambit(?)- Josh Holloway or Ian Somerhalder

Magneto- Jeremy Irons (if you can steal him from DC), Viggo Mortensen. Just bring back Fassbender



Go ahead and try to fill that out with actors/actresses that fit the character and aren't already associated with Marvel.



I feel like both Fantastic Four (original) and X-Men were nearly perfectly cast. Jackman IS Wolverine, Stewart IS Xavier, Marsden was a really good Cyclops, Jensen was a good Grey, Halle Berry was a perfect Storm, Chris Evans was as good as Johnny Storm as he is Steve Rogers.



So let's try to cast a new F4 and X-Men, I believe in us.

That's a good cast.

Outside of Patrick Wilson (the villain in Aquaman), Tom Hardy (playing Venom, which is currently filming), and Mads Mikkelsen and Rachael McAdams were both in Doctor Strange. And Mark Strong's name is somewhat tied to the Shazam movie.
