And this is when I get annoyed........why the **** is joker (at least) a decade older that Bruce? Unless you're telling me he's gonna go from joker to red mask back to joker.......

DC's continuity is terrible. IDC if that's not what they're concerned about but **** that was a big reason why marvel was fun.

*EDIT* Has it been talked about how awesome of an actor Phoenix is? Never thought Johnny Cash would be an awesome Joker......

Oh yeah, as far as actual acting, Phoenix is right up there with the best of them.

I'll do you one better. Never thought Commodus from Gladiator could play Johnny Cash, then 14 years later play the Joker.

And as for your first point, Arthur Fleck is AT LEAST 3 decades older than Bruce.

It's funny you say this. My buddy and I were just talking tonight about Walk The Line and how good he was in it. He really is an amazing actor.

I would love to see him continue as the Joker somehow. I think they could make it work.

And I know people will never say he could be better than Heath, but I'm willing to give him that chance. I mean when we all see the movie we may be blown away and say well now we have a quagmire on our hands as to who the best Joker is.

There's some theories floating around the interwebz. Easiest place to find them would be the YouTube comments. I'm not going to pass any judgement on DC until the end of the movie regardless.

Joaquin is a fantastic actor. His range is fantastic. Signs. Gladiator. Walk the Line. Inherent Vice. Her. The Master. He has an impressive list of movies. Also, don't forget that time period where everybody thought he went absolutely bat**** insane for I'm Still Here.

Yeah forgot about that but I always thought The Joker was a bit older than Bruce anyway....don't know why I thought that or how I came to that conclusion just always did.

Anybody else think that the big climax of the movie is gonna be Joker murdering Robert DeNiro on national TV?

It's almost too obvious but it seems like that factor won't change Deniro's fate.

In one of the last shots of the trailer, there's some clowns running by a movie theater with smoke bombs.

In the background, you can see Thomas and Martha Wayne running out with Bruce.

If what Triplecrown said there holds weight then OMG. Can we really have a Batman vs. Joker movie in this style? I'd jump for joy if that happened. This looks like the kind of thing that would really jumpstart the superhero movie genre for me.

DC may not be completely on the money like the MCU but when they do get stuff right they really get it right. This is the kind of style perfect for Batman and his rogues gallery.
