Re: Mindhunter (Netflix)
I am surprised that this show hasn't garnered more attention. I would have only known about this show because of this site.SpoilerI appreciate the show for the natural developing dynamic of the team and how the content of their work is affecting their lives. I could actual feel what each character was experiencing with their adaptation to this new world of theirs. Their experiences seem isolated but implicitly intertwined. When Bill finally arrives to that place where he knows how messed up their work is, he aggravatingly stated to Wendy that Holden is immune to this stuff, then in a following scene Holden has the freak-out during Debbie's seduction while wearing those shoes. This plot development is smartly done.
Speaking of Debbie's seduction, what a great song to use, "I want to Kiss You All Over". I haven't heard that song in long time, and I must say I have had that song playing while, uh, doing the same thing they were doing, lol.
Do you all realize how desensitized we have all become as digital observers. Bill, Holden, and Wendy are engrossed in unchartered territory, and it has impacted them in a negative way; however, I am nowhere uncomfortable with the content. That poor babysitter was traumatized by that picture, but I was like Carl Spackler, "It's no big deal!" Put me in this irl and I bet it would be a different story for me though.Comment

Re: Mindhunter (Netflix)
Man that was fantastic television. Watched the whole season over the weekend with the wife.
Th dialogue and characters were very well done. The use of the music was great also.
This-1 stays on my watch list.

Took some time to finish this out and man, what a viscerally impacting ending. It's almost a needed second watch, yet, I hesitate because we're talking about gross atrocities having been done to provide an entertainment value. I wrestle with that. Hammer said it well above about the digital desensitization to which we've been exposed.Comment

Re: Mindhunter (Netflix)
I forgot how this show gives me the worst creeps.
That interview in the truck was so tense, so well directed.

Re: Mindhunter (Netflix)
This season is super hard to watch for me as new parent. It's so good though.
Just a horrific story and what Atlanta went through was unbelievable.
Golden Era of TV is still going super strong

Re: Mindhunter (Netflix)
Yeah, very easy binge. I didn't like the fact we had to wait almost two years for season 2 to air.
The show is also constrained by real-life events so I find it interesting that the BTK killer has been highlighted throughout the series including at the very end of season 2. Considering that he is not caught until aSpoilerquarter-century after the Wayne Williams arrestComment
