I think it's Chase being Chase although Alan Taylor surprised me. These two had excellent writers help them achieve past successes. Taylor wanted to try and wack the audience alla Chase again with mixed results.

    Spoiler

I guess I'm startled that these 2 Emmy icons liked the end result and went to print. For some reason I believe the pandemic delays were costly and WB just said give us what you have. Seems they could have been trying to show us many possible assassins' but came out with poor final editing choices..

I dunno, is this supposed to show how messed up Tony was brought up to show the reason he needed therapy?

Dialogue was terrible, script, plot. Didn’t see the point of making this about a race war either. That wasn’t Sopranos to me.

Honestly, they just made Italians looked like **** the whole movie.

Can’t wait for a mob guy make an authentic movie or show like Michael Franzese.

Could not agree more. Was very disappointed. 4/10.

Yeah, but ex-mob guys strengths tend to be breaking kneecaps rather than making movies. Franzese couldn't even come close to finishing The Sopranos, although he hailed it as possibly the greatest TV show of all time, so I doubt he has the discipline or creative sense to make a decent mob movie.

Face it, he's just a thug (possibly reformed) who does good interviews. The slightly joking threat against David Chase was a bit weird and a little...threatening.

Yeah, this was a big "meh" for me. Really didn't see the point, and didn't seem at all related to anything having to do with the Sopranos. Pretty forgettable, really. Particularly when compared with a masterpiece of a 'movie many years after the series ended' sub-genre HBO seems to be specializing in, the "Deadwood" movie. That's how it's done.
