Man can’t wait, Ralph Fiennes automatically upgrades this franchise. Looks more gritty which I like.

Except for the fact that every time I see him in a good guy role I just get the “You’re gonna turn bad at some point as a twist” vibe from him.

Does look good, though.

Disney+ remaking more movies.

One notable seems to be Home Alone.

I hope they simply make a sequel. I believe the actor who played Marv said he was open to it. I could see McCauley open to it as well, assuming it's a good movie and he's a producer or something.

I've always wanted a sequel where Kevin turns into the villain. Decades later, Marv is out of jail, Harry abandons him, Kevin has distanced himself from his family, and eventually meets up with Marv and they become the new bandits.

I'm sure it'll be fine, I'm just not sure how you can really do it that well for today. The kid will look their parents' location up on an app then order some food on GrubHub and be fine for the night.

Check our Home Alone 5. Kid is a gamer. I liked it. I’d copy over my impressions if I knew how to do it from this dumb phone.

To be fair, even without technology, original home alone had flaws.

Parents report a missing/home alone kid, the police goes over to check, knocks on door for like 20 seconds and writes it off as a prank call lol.

Modern day home alone, just text their kid or video call them. No need to kick some french lady off a payphone because you're entitled to priority lol. And no jumping in the back of a UHaul with a polka band to get back to your kid.

Actually, new home alone will suck if they do that.

Best I can think would be maybe they rent some cabin in the woods for Christmas, and somehow New Kevin gets stranded there by himself while everyone else was out. You'd have no phone connection or internet out there.

I know that Lady is really an American Cocker Spaniel, but my little Cavalier King Charles Spaniel that I get to watch all the time also really reminds me of Lady (except she's a lot smaller). I always think of her as the Lady and the Tramp dog, and I think she's much more adorable than any ACS you could find.

Ah well, gotta be true-to-life with it. Not a fan of the movie itself, so for me this news is whatever but was equally as much expected at some point too.

Absolutely love this casting choice.

I hope they stay on the "no speaking voices" route for the animals again like in the Glenn Close live-action version.
