I'm fully expecting it to just be the whole "brother jealous of more successful/popular brother who has been named the heir to the throne" story, but wonder if they'll make it deeper than that.

Wonder if they'll even do some parallel like Scar does something real bad and/or gets blamed for something and "runs away and never comes back" (similar to how he tried to convince Simba that he did the very same, and tried to get him to run away and never come back).

I would just like for it to be a nice progression throughout the movie. Make me feel like they really are good brothers to each other, and let the transition to the end feel organic and justified. Many movies and shows make this evolution so sudden, but Transformers One did it very well in my opinion.

A listing on Production Weekly now has a sequel, “Smile 3,” set to enter production in 2025. No plot details or a cast have been revealed. Finn will return as writer-director for this third instalment.

“Smile” (2022) had a budget of $17M and somehow managed to gross $217M worldwide. It’s clear the budget for “Smile 2” was much higher than $17M, but despite some clunky marketing on the part of Paramount, it still managed to earn $137M worldwide. These films are made cheap, and there was no reason to believe that another one wouldn’t get made.

Finn is now a much sought after filmmaker. Earlier in the year it was revealed that he would direct a remake of the 1981 film “Possession” with Robert Pattinson potentially set to the star. Meetings to acquire the project, between some top-notch studios, including A24, Netflix, Paramount, Sony and Warner Bros, took place. Paramount, who own “Smile,” won out.

            ....Date revealed

28 Years Later is a terrifying new story set in the same world as 28 Days Later. It’s been almost 30 years since the rage virus escaped a biological weapons laboratory, and now, still in a ruthlessly enforced quarantine, some have found ways to exist alongside the infected. One group of survivors lives on a small island connected to the mainland by a single causeway. However, when one of them leaves on a mission, he discovers secrets that have mutated not only the infected but other survivors too.

Directed by Danny Boyle and written by Alex Garland, 28 Years Later debuts in theaters on June 20, 2025. The film's executive producer is Cillian Murphy.

It's produced by Andrew Macdonald, Peter Rice, Bernard Bellew, Danny Boyle, Alex Garland.

I plan on being in a theatre Christmas Day to see Nosferatu. I do like me some Dracula movies, even if this one is based on a unofficial knockoff version of Dracula from a hundred years ago. Count Orkula or something? Can't recall the spelling.

              Edit - Count Orlok.

Anytime a movie has a star studded cast I'm always skeptical because it seems like so often when the cast is the main attraction in a movie trailer, that tells you all you need to know about if the movie is good or not. Hopefully this time I'm wrong but you never know.

Nolan snags whoever he wants, whenever he wants. He got Academy Award winning actor Rami Malek to play a bit part in Oppenheimer. He took Matt Damon out of acting hiatus to take on a role for a meager coupe million bucks. I wouldn't let the casting be the main draw of a Christopher Nolan film.

Looking forward to Liam Neeson in Naked Gun. Except for the Austin Powers rip-off joke, I thought the rest of the trailer was pretty promising, especially the Nordberg joke.

                                Just a heads up:

                                Thursday, July 16th @ 2:00 PM
                                Friday, July 17th @ 7:00 PM
                                Saturday, July 18th @ 7:00 PM
                                Sunday, July 19th @ 7:00 PM

Word has it these tickets will go on sale TONIGHT, like in a couple of hours, at 12:00 AM ET / 9:00 PM PST.

You cannot use AMC A-List, Regal Unlimited, or other passes on these tickets, though.
