    Re: Big Brother 20

Game wise nothing notable happened tonight, but show wise, I wasn't expecting that at all(kind of, but only because BB preview spoiled it). Nicole and Victor getting engaged! Then having abunch of former HGs(and Paul for 3rd straight year) was even crazier. I guess we know the real reason Derrick was on Thursdays show.

Speaking of Derrick, anyone else find it funny how he was the one to remind HGs of nominations, and left right after that. Funnier than the random Angela smelling scene.

And Victor should never cut his hair.

The highlight for me was the heightened sense of smell for Angela, what a gift and a burden

Lots of people hated it because of how random and pointless it was, but I liked it. Was funny, especially guessing what Kaycee was making, and talking about what each Hg smells like.

yeah I'm usually one of the viewers that doesn't care about the extra stuff, but her talking about the varying smells (Brett smells like fish and beans lol (with a bonus shot of Brett going to the fridge and muttering "mmm fish tacos")) was pretty cool, plus humanizing her a bit with the gymnast story, she does come off pretty cold and harsh so to hear a backstory about it was cool

But also does show you what kids go through with parents forcing them to do a specific thing, especially sports.

I liked her way before this, and find her "stone cold" attitude to be fun tv, but stuff like that does make you respect her alot more. BB is forcing the Angela and Tyler stuff abit much, but I could see stuff happening outside the house. Alot more than Fessy and Haleigh.

Lol,now that I think about it, Fessy and Haleigh reminds me of Ross from Friends when he dated one of his students. Could see similar ending too.

I’m gonna take the contrary posiition that the jury won’t be as bitter as folks assume. Not only did Hay and Fessy break down how poorly they played and how they put themselves in the bind they found themselves in, but Rockstar, Bay, and Scottie all pretty much did the same thing. They know they got outplayed.

And despite Bay’s outburst towards Tyler, overall, this has been a pretty cordial house. Sam and Angela are the only ones to get mean during nominations, and Brett’s speeches definitely put him on Rockstar’s ****list.

But Tyler and Kaycee handled their HoH’s is a much kinder and gentler manner. Both will have Haleigh’s support by finale night, I believe. Brett is 50/50, but Angela won’t get their vote. And I don’t think Sam has a reasonable case to win.

JC is the wildcard. He’s playing hard, and has impacted the game, but I still think the list of those he beats as fairly short.

                I totally agree.
This happens every year, BB makes you think the jury is going to be bitter and not vote for who should win.
And almost every year once all the jury members get together someone talks sense into them and they vote for the correct person.

I disagree I feel like Foutte is going to poison the jury and that group demonstrated a hive mind all game, they stuck with each other and I think they will vote as a block in the end.

Kaycee is the front runner right now for sure IMO, Tyler could win against anyone else but Kaycee beats anyone, if neither of them make it then hard to say.

But we've still had instances of bitter juries. BB14 like I mentioned before, as well as the 2 most recent seasons(Paul losing in BB19, and the Celeb BB jury which wasn't bitter, but most did vote simply based on gender). So can't blame people for feeling this way. Especially when you have a clear cut top player of a great season, last thing you'd want is for this season to be remembered for a bitter ending.

I have to disagree with this. In my opinion, the BB jury hasn't picked the correct winner for the last three seasons (counting Celebrity BB) all due to a bitter jury. Maybe Nicole won more so due to have friends on the jury but there's no way that Josh should have won over Paul or Marissa over Ross.

Not to mention, the majority of Foutee are extremely emotional players, save for maybe Scottie and Hayleigh. But I would bet that Bayleigh, Rockstar and Fessy will absolutely vote on emotion rather than who played the best game. I want nothing more than to be wrong about this but my money is on the bitterness.

Julie Chen taking some time away from The Talk, but will be on Big Brother.

Future of BB could get interesting. Hasn't been renewed for next year(though Celeb BB has been), but with everything happening recently (CBS negotiating her husbands departure because of all this controversy), I wonder if maybe CBS does renew BB but want to have a different host. Or maybe after everything, she doesn't want to stick around CBS (or just retires altogether given that his severance package is still gonna be alot)

I'm not arguing that bitter juries don't exist. I'm arguing that they have shown most of the HGs, including Rockstar, realizing that that it wasn't dirty or mean play that got them evicted, but their own poor play. And Tyler and Kaycee have not run a house where no one is allowed to tall to the other side. There has been very little denigrating the other side of the house by any of the houseguests.

This just doesn't feel like a bitter jury season, to me. And honestly, I don't think it will matter. Once Hay goes, Sam and JC really don't have a chance. They can't seem to win competitions, and have no alliance to protect them.

The caveat is Angela. I think she has hurt her chances of winning against anyone in a final two. But that's not bitter, that's just the result of her actually being a jerk in her speeches and goodbye messages.

It was a waste of an episode for me, fast forwarding through most of it. It would have been far better if they replayed the week on Thursday or at least kept Haleigh safe and then redid noms and veto.

2 episodes in a row with little stuff from the house and they still have a lot of people left. What are they going to do with just L6 left? It's going to be so boring they might as well end the game in 1 week.

She is quite possibly the worst player in BB history.
I don't trust these guys in the jury house with anything.

I had a feeling we'd get BB Comics. This years comp seemed so much easier than BB Comics of the past. Even Sam beat Haleigh lol.

Double eviction tomorrow. Obviously Haleigh goes in 1st eviction, but 2nd HOH will be interesting to see who wins. Sam as HOH in 2nd part of episode might be the craziest/most unpredictable 30 minutes in BB history. Realistically, Tyler or Angela probably wins it(I'm guessing HOH comp is some kind of quick memory/trivia one). JC makes most sense to leave in 2nd eviction.
