    LeBron James Space Jam

People have talked about it for over a decade, and we finally get to see it!

'Baby, It's Cold Outside' bites back as fans embrace embattled holiday song Hoda Kotb in tears after Kathie Lee Gifford announces 'Today' exit Carol Burnett to receive inaugural Golden Globe award for TV achievement Time’s Person of the Year?

LeBron James of the Lakers is teaming with Ryan Coogler of “Black Panther” on “Space Jam 2,” confirming a rumor that the basketball star will take on the role originated by sports legend Michael Jordan in the original 1996 movie.

SpringHill Entertainment, James’ production company, made the announcement with a visual Wednesday on Twitter, revealing that James will join Bugs Bunny in the cast of the partially animated film.
    Any guesses/hopes for the movies?

I've said it for awhile, but I hope we see Kevin Hart in the movie. Be LeBrons Stan. Warriors are basically the Monstars already, so who does LeBron go up against? Wade would be retired by then, so I wonder if he ends up joining the movie too. And bring Muggsy & Chuck back. They were my other fave characters in the movie. Perhaps even some Michael Jordan cameo?

He never had the same charisma as Jordan and never will. And you can't replace a Bill Murray. Yet another unnecessary remake by Hollyweird.

        It was done already.

I read about that a while ago and just shook my head. Oh well, hopefully it'll get some people to check out the original.

McQueen would still be a mega-star today. He was that good. He should've done Space Jam with Wilt Chamberlain! Hell, Bugs & Co. were around then.

I don't see the big deal. Gives a new generation of kids a chance to see the biggest basketball player of their time on the big screen with Loony Tunes characters.

I also never cared for the movie as a kid and don't understand how it became this thing held in such high regard today.

                    EXACTLY!
Just because it has been done doesn't mean this one wont be good.
I coach a 11 year old girls travel BBall team and they were all talking about it last night at practice.
My daughter cannot wait to see it, she loves LeBron.
She has seen the original a couple times and even tho I have made her watch old games and told her many times how great Jordan was. She just doesn't understand or care about Jordan, he means nothing to her and her friends.
LeBron will do a great job on this I am sure.

I guess nostalgia made it seem like a great movie back then. Lol what do people mean don’t ruin a great thing?

Jordan also didn’t have ton of charisma...He was very monotone in the movie. LeBron have just as much charisma as Mike. The fact that Ryan Coogler is attached to it sparks interest for me and suggest that the movie will not be half *** for a money grab.

I don't think so. LeBrons wardrobe alone has much more charisma than Jordan. And if you watch LeBrons non NBA interviews, you can see non generic sports answers from him and see more of who he really is.

Space Jam is a kids movie but obviously nowadays would be more popular among adults who were kids when they first saw the movie. Getting to see one of your fave cartoons combined with real life basketball players was cool. And I'm sure kids nowadays would love it, and even those same adults who loved the original as a kid would at the very least check out the new one. And lets not forget about the Space Jam Soundtrack which imo was one of the best movie soundtracks. The soundtrack more than the movie itself I think will be the hardest part to live up to.
