    American Horror Story: Apocalypse

I come and go with this series. Been watching it from the beginning, although I say out Freakshow and Hotel. But this season promises to crossover two of my favorite seasons, Murder House from season one and season three's Coven.

Two episodes in, and hoo boy, they ain't kidding about Apocalypse. It starts out with a bang, and rollercoaster ride into the where the bulk of the story will seem to take place. I thought the first episode was brilliant, and would be hailed as a fantastic episode of Black Mirror if it were a stand alone. Seriously, they wouldn't have to change anything for that series.

The second episode sees us in more traditional AHS mode, as the story is freaking nuts, Joan Collins is awesome (seriously!), and the camp hits high gear. And seriously, this might be the campiest season yet, but it works, I think.

Don't really want to delve into the story much yet, at least until I see that others are watching. I think the first episode in particular may work better if you don't realize the what all is coming.

    Anyone watching?

I like what I've seen so far, especially with the last two seasons being subpar.

They definitely left me wanting more with that last scene in the second episode!

What about that last scene of the third episode? The entire ending was cool as hell. Every time you think you know what is going on, it gets crazier.

For sure. I love the crossovers happening. Looking forward to see how the coven, And the murder house, tie into it

Just got caught up tonight. Really enjoying this season compared to seasons of the past.

I've only seen parts of Hotel and all of Cult. This season though, i'm really enjoying, especially when it being October and Halloween. It's been pretty good so far.

Season one, Murder House, is well worth watching. I think it is mostly agreed that it remains the best season they have done. Personally, I was a huge, huge fan of the third season, Coven. That season started out intense and great, kind of got bogged down in the middle, but finished up really well. It's worth sticking with, even though some of the horror presented is really hard to watch.

While you really don't need to watch those first to enjoy Apocalypse, I think watching them later be worth your time.

I actually took a break from the series for both Freakshow and Hotel. I will probably get to them, but other stuff at the time took precedence.

My wife said the same thing, she actually tried to get me to watch the first season on Netflix, but one episode in, I found it rather boring and unwatchable. It just seemed bland, but since it ties into this new one, i might go back after this season wraps up.

I assure you that Murder House is not bland, boring, or unwatchable. I mean, it gets going in a big crazy way. Trust me, this is not a subtle haunted house story. Plus, you get find out all about rubber suit guy.

Really don't remember much about the first episode, so maybe it was a normal slow burn you get in a haunted house story, but it is a wild ride of a tale. I promise.

Wife had hand surgery this morning, so we began watching Murder House again as well.

We've watched the 1st 7 episodes. Still my favorite AHS Season of them all

I don't remember the specifics but I do remember that the show wasn't even on my radar until I started hearing about it from friends.

I absolutely recall the first episode being very slow but I was at a point where I was able to watch maybe three at a time and it picked up fast.

I should definitely continue it, I just wasn't in the mood to watch it and the first episode was very bland. It seemed very "been there, done that before." It just seemed very predictable, but again it was only the first episode. After this season i'll give it a real watch.

It's all good. I will tell you, predictable is one thing that story is not. I think the first episode was there too lull you in with a typical haunted house tale, right before it whacks you over the head with a shovel.

I don't know about the rest of you, but the return too Murder house episode exceeded all my expectations. It was a great episode, in terms of moving the story forward, getting some answers about what happened after season one in the house, and for providing some closure for some of the season one characters.

Not only was it the best episode of the season, it will be among the best episodes of the entire series, in my opinion. They really knocked it out of the park. Hell, even if you aren't watching this season, but liked season one, this is a must see episode.

                            Jessica Lange was just fantastic.

I just watched the first episode on the new netflix show, A Haunting on Hill House, i think it's somewhat the same concept as murder house, but that in itself was so well done. It feel intensive and frightening, more so than the first episode of Murder house did. But like I said, after this season ends, i'll watch Murder House.
