With 10 people left, they need a 2 hour episode to get rid of 2 people. I just wonder what their plan might have been if not for any kind of quit/injury.
Also, Jeff confirmed what people had been speculating on. If Dan kept his 1st idol, he could've played it AFTER the nullifier.
Imagine how crazy that'd be.
Jeff: If anybody has the hidden immunity idol,now would be the time to play it.
Dan: I'm playing my idol.
Jeff: This IS a hidden immunity idol.....and THIS is an idol nullifier which cancels Dans idol.
Dan: .......I'm playing my other idol!
And something I never really knew about before but has been known online for awhile. Alec posted a pic of him and Kara online not too long after the season finished filming. Seems it was a breach of the Survivor contract and he's been banned from the reunion show. I wonder if he's even gonna get any money from being on it. I had been wondering about this exact situation. So, if he hadn't wasted the first idol to save someone that didn't need saving and he didn't even want around, he could've used it for himself in an unprecedented double idol situation. Both guys had it coming tonight. Crazy though seeing highs and lows in a week. Last week ended with Carl's "BING" twist moment. This week ends with him voted out in a blindsided split vote.
And that first immunity challenge was great. I love those old school lengthy challenges. 5+ hours! They need more of these long challenges. And Christian just rambling on and on for what seemed like 7 hours lol.
Really hope he wins. He's been one of my favourite players in years. Survivor and BB with back to back great seasons, hopefully Survivor ends differently for my fave.Comment

Gabby plots to get Christian out, Davie tells Christian, Davie votes Christian, Christian doesn't vote Gabby, Christian plays his idol, Gabby goes home?
It was a good plan on Gabby's part. If it worked then she'd be a threat to win. Sucks we won't get a f3 with her and Christian. My guess based on the edit is a f3 of Christian, Angelina and Nick.
Somehow in all this, Angelina knew who to vote?Comment

I was personally blindsided by Christian not voting for Gabby. It's my own ignorance but I thought it was the ultimate "oh you think you got me? I go you!" move, but he was the lone Alison vote. Yeah, Gabby outed herself the moment she started going on about playing for herself. I don't know what she was thinking there. And it was like poker, in that he read, not just Gabby, but the entire situation.
And really, the result is why it was such a bad idea for her in the first place. Survivor is not about playing for yourself, at least, not until the very last stages. You don't make a big move like that without a super solid alliance to land in. And there was no way she had that.
She was viewed, correctly, that without Christian, she ceased to be a threat or a problem. christian may have been made stronger, because he no longer has a voting partner. He is viewed as powerless now, and he can work with that. He already worked with that.
The Goliaths are one of the least cohesive dominant alliances in the history of the show. They tend to stick together, but are constantly going rogue just enough to prevent them from really dominating the game.
But, man, Gabby really played herself.Comment

She played herself because she has no self awareness. She gets some confidence and like most people her age, she thinks she is on top now. She didn't stop to actually read the room.
She couldn't see she was being played for her vote. Even if he gets voted out, she doesn't gain anything and is all alone or voted out because she tries to use power she doesn't have.

Christian is gone!? Didn't expect that! He got such a big edit this season. If he won, I'd have him up there on my fave winners list. Thought at worst he'd make it to finale episode.
