Anywho, a couple NBA media notes:

    - Candace Parker is joining TNT and NBATV. She will do games and studio work.

    - Players Only is moving to Tuesday nights on TNT.

    - NBA Gametime on NBATV will be rebranded as Gametime Live and there will now be an NBA Crunch time channel/service that's similar to NFL Redzone.

All this is courtesy of "Scooter" Vertino SVP of sports programming for Turner Sports as he was a guest on the @sportsTVratings podcast.
I absolutely hate the Players Only games on NBA TV.
I will not even watch anymore. The whole presentation is just unwatchable to me.
Half the time the players are stuttering or will go long stretches not talking about the game. They get off on ranting about things they did in their careers.
There is a reason we have sports broadcasters.
None of the ex players fill the play by play role on the players only games.

Check out the latest Peter King podcast. He interviews Dan Fouts in the first part then in the 2nd part of the episode he talks to MMQB's Tim Rohan who's doing a podcast series about Steve McNair's death. Apparently there's a lot of stuff that's been dug up that goes way beyond what the media reported at the time. I think the podcast is called Death of a Titan.

The day it happened i was listening to my police scanner and one of the Nashville PD cops tells another on the radio, did you hear about Mcnair? That was the first I heard of the news then the news broke on tv and radio a few minutes afterwards

BTW for those who miss the old Sports Reporters show on ESPN Lupica, Ryan and Albom have resurrected it in podcast form. At the moment Albom is not on the show due to a book tour so they rotate a guest on there or just do it by themselves. Just look for Sports Reporters.

Lupica is still annoying as all hell and he apparently works for MSNBC now?! WTF?!

Oh well, it's a good show.

Very seldom. He pops up on Ari Melber's show from time to time but he's not an official MSNBC contributor.

I've always liked him and The Sports Reporters so I might check out the podcast.

I used to watch it every week. Was never as good as the old Sports Reporters on Sports Channel back in the day out of Chicago I think.

Ah cool thanks, the way Lupica touted that it sounded like he was more officially ensconced over there.

I'm sure most know this but i'll report it here anyways but Intentional Talk will no longer be simulcast on ESPN as ESPN will produce their own in house daily baseball show.

about time. They need to bring baseball tonight back.

Not any forthcoming however in huge news DAZN stole the EPL Canadian rights away from TSN and Sportsnet. Starting next season EPL games will be on DAZN.
