    Re: Arrow (season 7)

What did people think of crossover? I wonder what possible deal Oliver made to save Barry and Kara. I don't see Arrow ending soon, but what if Oliver does make some big sacrifice in the future? In Avengers, fans have been guessing Starks fate for awhile, with Oliver being a similar thing in this universe, maybe he goes out in similar style?

And I really thought that pic from months back with Stephen /Grant was just them joking around. Didn't realize they were actually BFF bad guys in the episode lol. No hug this time though.

They just have to keep having Diaz around? Do people even like him? Chase died in perfect fashion, but sucks having a villain as good as that for a short time while Diaz gets multiple seasons.

Emiko story is alright so far. Hopefully doesn't turn into that "show brings in a new kid to boost interest" cliche. At least we got a Walter Steele mentioning again. I want a Walter and Felicity scene. Would make so much come full circle.

Flash forward scenes have been the best parts. Really wonder where this all sets up future seasons of the show.

Is it me or does the show fee like it's losing its budget? So many reused assets and corridors. The Emiko reveal just feels cheesey. I guess nothing will come close to the intense story and action of the season with Chase, he was a perfect villain in the same vein of Deathstroke and Merlin.

I think cw in general is tightening the budgets. It's why legends doesn't have as many episodes each season and why supergirl doesn't have Martian manhunter much.

It's gotten to the point that, out of the 4 shows, I just watch the Flash now. Arrow use to be my favorite show on television. Now, I can't even watch it. It became more of a teen drama and less about the Green Arrow. I wish they had actual comic book writers writing some of these episodes. In Seasons 1 and 2, a lot of the episodes were written by Marc Guggenheim and Greg Berlanti, too very good comic book writers. I believe in season 7, the only episode Guggenheim has had a hand in was Elseworlds. I just wish Arrow would get back to season 1 and 2, and make it more about the Green Arrow (Oliver Queen) and less about the "team".

Edit - Below is the viewership based on each season. As you can tell, between Seasons 1-3 there is a small drop off, which is expected. However, the viewership is drastically decreased from Season 1 to 7. I am not sure how much longer the show can stay alive with it performing this way.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

It was on Wikipedia but I followed the footnote it was tied to and it pulls the figures straight from the Nielsen Ratings. I know you can't believe everything on Wikipedia but after fact checking, it is legit. Which, again, is sad in the vast decrease in viewership when it used to be CW's most popular show.

Well, once they actually dropped his real team it started going downhill fast.

The worst was how they exacerbated it with the hypocrite Felicity drama and it never bounced back after that.

I agree with you there. I was perfectly fine with Diggle and Roy as his "team". And also fine with Felicity being the IT girl (much like how Oracle is to Batman).

However, I was not fine how they forced the romance aspect on Felicity and Oliver. I get the show wanted its own identity I guess, but in the comics he is with the Black Canary (in the show's case, I would have been fine with Laurel or Sarah). They work well together in the comics and there was no need for all that romance drama that has over taken the show.

I also didn't like how the forced a "new team" on Oliver and create this "Team Arrow". Whoever decided to take the show in this direction, in my opinion, killed the show and I hate that because it use to be a fantastic show.

Oliver/Felicity relationship was at its best in the first 2 seasons (and Felicity specifically was at her best in the first 2 seasons), then they just had them getting mad at each other from S3 onwards.

You pretty much summed up the dash and crash of the show.

                            Arrow 150 airs tomorrow.

Sounds like a much differently done episode VS how others are done. You can read up on what it'll be about, but there's some spoilers in terms of appearances on the show.

Last weeks episode was actually good

The scene between Curtis and Diaz was pretty cool in itself and I really don't have the conflict of the Canary struggling to be a good guy.

I still feel like it's too bad they wrote off the original team, Darhk and Merlin from the plots

                              They just did it better

I liked the documentary part of the episode. Felt like a completely different show. I thought the network messed up at first and was about to get mad at DVRing the wrong show because the network messed up. All because of the WB intro video which made me think a movie was airing in Arrows place.

They really set up the flash forwards in this episode. William and Zoey are friends, William mad at Felicity, and possibly Connor Hawke "return"?
