Re: Survivor 40: Winners at War

    Remaining schedule has been announced.

    15th, 22nd, 29th are regular 1 hour episodes.

May 6th will be a 2 hour episode (I'm guessing the final EoE person comes back and we see 2 tribals)

May 13th will be the 3 hour finale and a "virtual reunion show".

Reunion shows have sucked on Survivor for about a decade now, but this was the 1 which needed a proper show. Sucks we won't be able to get one besides what I'm guessing will be a random zoom meeting.

      Another crazy tribal.

It was 5-5 going in. Seems like the steal a vote was happening no matter what. So it would be 6-4. Only shot there would be an idol to save the other side.

So Jeremy leaving didnt really hurt his side as much. It was all about playing the idol correctly.

this was basically a 30 minute episode, the sobfest seriously took that much of a chunk out of the show

the only thing worth watching anymore is tribal, nothing leading up to it matters

Seriously, it's normally bad enough for these episodes but that one was literally 27 minutes before they got into anything related to the game. I don't care about that stuff so I'm glad I was able to skip it.

Without Jeremy there, they were able to split votes some. If he stays, they can't split votes and he is the target so the idol could have been played correctly.

I was hoping for a rule clarification but they never got to it.

If Sarah would have played the steal a vote and stole the vote from Jeremy, and Jeremy then plays his advantage to leave tribal, does that nullify the steal a vote or does she get to choose someone else?

I think Jeremy gets to leave still, but Sarah has his vote now.

So he's still safe, but since Sarah took his vote before he left, so it would be 6v4 instead of what turned out to be 6v3.

And for anyone who criticized that move....Jeremy was gonna be voted out most likely unless they had a perfect idol play. This was also the last time he could use that power.

Instead of a 1 in 5 shot of getting the idol play right it became a 1 in 4 chance.

The only thing is is that since Jeremy left he didn't get a vote. So if Sarah stole his vote, and then Jeremy doesn't get a vote, does Sarah's steal vote get nullified? That's what I wanted to happen just to see. Alas, maybe some other time.

His power is that he gets to leave tribal but not vote.

Sarah took his vote already so that 2nd part is void.

That Edge of Extinction twist this week was so unfair. If it's for one or two tokens then fine, but 6? They can set whatever number they want and force the players hand or else they can't compete in the challenge AND cant vote? How is that fair? I know Parv is the one who gets 3 of those 6 tokens, but I still didnt like that.

Tony is my main hope now for winning the game. If Michele or Nick wins this season, it'll not only be a let down, but the editing on this season would be horrible since those 2 are barely on tv. Even Denise hasn't been featured much.

I haven't watched Survivor for a few years, but I don't recall anyone blindsiding their own alliance when they had the majority before. Tony's definitely Chaotic Neutral on the Survivor alignment chart.

Tony believes he has two different majority alliances, which is incredible, and explains why the preview showed him hiding in trees lol

This season might actually be Tony's best in terms of gameplay. He's already in the upper tier of winners, but I think him winning this season could make him the greatest player ever.

I'm going to have to track down the season Tony won (Cagayan). I hear it's the best one since the glory years.

We're seriously getting a Ben, Michele, Nick final 3 aren't we? Why do seasons I look forward to always flop?

And that was a weak coin flip. It literally flipped ONCE. Might as well have just let her drop it on the podium because that's basically what she did.

                              Edit:
Ok, not Nick...maybe. But Natalie gets 3 advantages?! That's ridiculous. Good on her for getting so many tokens, but ridiculous concept in general with fire tokens. It's not even Survivor at this point.

I hope Parv returns and we see her and Tony as 2 of the people in final 3. Most likely though, Natalie returns and wins the game while Tony goes next. I know how these shows work.

the amount of revolutions of the toss didn't matter, Jeremy had more votes, so it was irrelevant.

Natalie earned her ****, she was there the longest, so of course she'd have the most opportunity, and to continue beasting on Edge to earn more and more ****, what's wrong with that? She's killing it and I give her a ton of respect

If Natalie wins, it'll be Legen (wait for it while on extinction) Dary!

also curious to see how the finale goes without studio audience
