It's only 56 minutes long and has the Unfriended style of screencasting a Zoom call mixed with Paranormal Activity horror elements. Also it's 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, if that helps.

You can get a free 7-day trial on Shudder. I canceled on the seventh day citing that I was only there to check out one movie, and they offered me another free month right on the spot.

I will check it out tonight.

Did you catch it? Wonder what you thought of it.

And folks, I'm having trouble finding good content on Shudder. All the horror films that I haven't seen yet want to see aren't on here, heh. It seems this is more to find some classic horror films, including ones of the unknown or obscure variety.

I only have a week left of the free subscription. Any post-2000 horror movies worth watching on here that you can think of?

If you haven't already, check out Beach House, Train to Busan, The Void, Belzebuth, Hounds of Love as well as Terrified.

They also have some great original shows, like Creepshow, Deadlands as well as Wolf Creek

Not my favorite genre, but I'm definitely a fan of the classics

          The exorcist
          The shining
          Psycho
          The birds
          Poltiergeist
          Carrie

A few of the newer ones that I have liked
          Let me in
          Silence of the lambs
          Storm of the century
          30 days of night
          9th gate
Resident Evil (the first one, not any of the sequels)

I would also recommend googling a list of top Korean and Japanese horror films. To me they more closely resemble some of the classic horrors films in the West.

It was ok. Not bad for a film like this.

I really liked The VVitch. At the end of the movie I was like "good for you, kid."

I also liked The Lighthouse by the same director (Robert Eggers), but not as much as The VVitch.

Re: OS Official Horror Movie Thread

Nice to see this thread pop up again!

I gave Hereditary and Midsommar my second viewings and really enjoyed them a lot more the second time around.

Seriously dark and disturbing horror. Both are from the same director and completely different films. Just so much dread and foreshadowing all over the place. He has a unique style for sure (Ari Aster).

I ordered the directors cut in 4K of Midsommar. That is how much it affected me. The cinematography in that film is fantastic. And the entire movie except for the very beginning takes place during the day. The Directors cut has a lot more scenes so I will watch it again once it arrives.

Hereditary was pure evil. I mean wow.....the first time I saw it I went in with the wrong expectations and was kinda confused....I gave it a long while before I decided to pick it up on BD for $5 bucks. Glad I did. A great modern horror classic. A very slow burn (as is Midsommar) but well worth the effort.

I am looking forward to The Conjuring 3 next month and of course Halloween Kills this October!!!

Hopefully it's more like VHS & VHS 2, but a lot less like VHS Viral (which I liked the least).
